Tricky!
Oh my this was tricky to get into!! Mind you we saw that as a good thing at first as it kept our son busy for ages trying to free Ryan!We soaked it in water which softened it slightly it would be impossible otherwise. It’s made of very tough cement style stuff so best put it in an old tub when breaking into it as it does get messy. You really have to dig and scrape at it for ages! It’s not like similar toys we’ve had like this that were a sort of hard sand this is much tougher! Took a lot of effort with the mini tool included and we had a go to help dig it out too as my son got bored after a while and said it was too hard but desperately wanted the figure.Nice pirate Ryan inside which my son was very pleased with but think they should have made it a little easier for kids!!!

Avoid this like the plague…
I understand a lot of this stuff is about digging for treasure but, with this item, the pirates really have won the day…!This thing is encased in a brick. I don’t care what the description says, it’s a tiny plastic toy (just the one) encased in a brick. It’s the best part of £30 too. That’s right, £30 for a tiny (no more than 3ins) plastic toy, that is delivered inside a concrete block. They give you a plastic spoon for your kid to break apart a sodding brick…As you will see from the picture, I had to resort to a hammer and screwdriver and it still took forever. For a 3ins plastic penguin.Don’t buy this…just scroll past…move on…Burn the £30 if you want, it’ll be more fun than breaking into a brick with a plastic spoon…

Should have read the reviews first
As if getting stiffed by Ryan and his world with the price of the stuff (bravo by the way) this ‘toy’ really is the icing on the cake.Never will I purchased a Ryan’s World toy again without reading EVERY SINGLE WORD in the description. If you want a kitchen full of dust and footprints and only ONE toy that your kid can’t be bothered with one it’s out, then this is the purchase for you.If not, avoid like the plague.I’m off to clean my kitchen as it’s now full of dust and footprints.

My son liked it
Can’t see the fuss myself, but my 6 year old boy loves it. I suppose that’s the idea.Just make sure you soak it in water first.

Waste of money and too hard for a child to get into
First of all i cant see a 3 year old ever getting the toy out.My son asked for this for his 5th birthday really struggled to get it out my husband had to help him in the end and to be honest the toy is rubbish inside not only that the tool to get it out is not at all practical please do not waste your money it is over priced rubbish.

DO NOT BUY
Wish I had read the reviews first, please don’t waste your money on this like I did!! Seriously bad product. The chest is made of a powdery cement type hardened material and you have to try and break the toy out of it. Two adults and a drill is what got it out, not the little tool, and inside is a cheap plastic figure worth a £1. So disappointed this needs a serious design check. Not suitable for children at all.
