The original version of this coat gained popularity not only because it was stylish, but also because of the great features and details that came at a very affordable price. This 2.0 version of the original sadly lost all of these great features and it looks like a mere shell of the original.The original is very warm and puffy, while the 2.0 is very thin, with almost no down. In fact, there seems to be no fill at all in the shoulder area, making it feel like a thin windbreaker for late spring or early fall.Black ribbon tassels on the zippers are gone as well. This feature was not important for me personally, but it was a visually interesting touch that contributed to making the original coat unique.The thick wrist cuffs have been replaced with longer cuffs with a thumb hole. On the surface this is an improvement over the original model, however, the new cuffs are made of such thin polyester material as to be nearly see-through (same fabric thickness as typically used in underwear). Basically, the new cuffs are useless and would only work on a mild spring or fall day.Lastly, the floofy white lining of the hood - the crown jewel of the original coat - is no more. The hood is now a thin and useless shell of it's former left. Because it's no longer fluffy, it doesn't sit correctly on the head and falls off at the slight turn or a small gust of wind.The new shiny fabric could have been the saving grace of the 2.0 version, however, even this was a miss. I bought the coat in gray and expected it to be gray, but it was much closer to an old and worn out off-black, and the shine only made it look tacky, like a cheap knockoff bought from a street vendor.I showed the coat two two co-workers who also own the original version and their feedback was exactly the same. Needless to say, I returned it and might buy a different color of the original - hopefully it's still available and has not been modified to be the same as the new version.

Love this coat! It kept me warm on my NYC trip on January. I received so many compliments on the color(metallic green). I am 5’3”/145 lbs, so purchased a small. It was a little big but not uncomfortably bulky.

Just got my 2nd version of this coat- I have the green 2018 version (size Small, 120lbs 5'2") and I am obsessed with it. 3 family members and a few of my friends purchased it after trying mine on.I haven't worn the newest version outside yet, but differences I've noticed so far are:-Hood doesn't have soft wooly interior (equally as big)-Hand cuffs are longer and have thumbholes-No ribbons on the front zippersWill update my review once I wear it outside. Seems slightly less thick- but maybe just needs to puff up after being in the packaging.

There is an obvious difference in down fill amount between the Jet (Black) and Army Green colors.The Jet is definitely stuffed more, which is a great value... but made the arms VERY tight when wearing layers or thicker sweaters underneath. otherwise, The body of the jacket fits roomy, expands with snap buttons along the front and with side zippers one the sides. the zippers are a bit trickyIf you get the black, just know that it is best for very cold days or with thin tops. the color is true black, nice fabric with shine. Not cheap looking!

I absolutely love this coat so far!! Today was the first time wearing the coat and it was very very warm, much to my surprise! It was a blizzard today and this coat kept me almost too warm!I love the look of all the pockets and the heavy duty zippers. This is by far the most stylish winter coat I’ve ever had and the shiny material is really fun.I also love the spandex sleeve cuffs/fingerless gloves that make it impossible for any cold air or snow to get up your sleeves.It’s definitely a puffier style coat with lots of room to wear sweatshirts or sweaters underneath. I’m usually a sm/med and probably could have gone with an XS but I like the looser look with skinny jeans/ leggings and like the extra room for bulkier clothing options. The only thing I don’t like is that the side pockets don’t have zippers but the front ones do, so I’ll just have to use those for my phone.I’m very pleased so far with this coat and don’t even mind that I paid full price for it. I’m hoping the fabric maintains that trendy shiny look that I’m really digging right now!

I took a chance based on reviews and got the black, despite the less than stellar comments about styling changes. Regardless, when it arrived yesterday, I took it out of the bag, shook it out to 're-inflate' it and tried it on. It is heavier and thicker than I expected and warm as heck. Both a 25 year old German girl and a fashion forward 53 year old loved it and are considering placing their own orders. So I sent back the dowdy pink North Face coat and am keeping this one. It is a sort of Balenciaga-adjacent look so, for $130, its worth it. I am 5'7" and an athletic 170 and got the large and it fits perfectly.

I am 5"9 127 lbs. I orderd a small and it fits fabulous! The quality is awesome and the look is so fashionable! I am extremely happy with this purchase! This is my second coat like this.

I wanted to love this parka, but I didn’t. At least not on me. I’m 5’2, and a very pear shaped 162lbs. I ordered an XL, based on reviews saying the coat can be tight around the booty. It was just too big and I didn’t love the overall look enough to exchange for a large. I returned it. Maybe it looks better on taller women.I did love the shiny wine color, it’s beautiful. It also seemed very warm, which is needed in these MN winters. My 20yo son tried it on and he liked it, but I didn’t let him keep it. It was packaged in a nice fabric, zippered bag that said Orolay. The tag in the parka also said Orolay, so I believe it was the real deal.

Fabulous coat and an amazing seller. Had to send the first one back as it was too big, and the replacement was delivered super quickly. I am normally size 14 in coats, so bought large, but drowned in it. Exchanged to medium, which is still roomy, but that's fine with a sweater underneath. Looks a bit bulky on but very warm and of excellent quality.

This was a bit too heavy for English winters, the sleeves especially. But it is a beautiful, trendy silver coat with the little extras of hand-warmers that automatically slip on when you put on the sleeves! If I lived in Scotland it would be perfect.

The coat is really fabulous. For someone that keeps putting weight on or off it’s really good as you can unzip the sides to let it out a little.I am really satisfied with the coat and would recommend it to any person that is looking at it
