PRO I have hearing aides but my wife is soft spoken. she has fallen or has been stuck on the floor when she is upstairs and I am not there. Easy to activate and is rechargeable

We go camping a lot and one of the concerns we have are bears. Mind you, I have been hiking/camping/wilderness backpacking for 16+ years and have come across a number of wildlife, including bears. Even had an encounter where I saw a young one next to our tent because one of my friends did not put away her toothbrush and paste like she was supposed to.With that said, there have been times where we have gone camping on dispersed land, and with no bear containers available, an early alert system was something I needed. I use these in conjunction with a string (ie. fishing line) to create a perimeter around our camp. When an animal trips the wire, the alarm goes off, and we'd have some time to react.Thus far, we have not yet encountered a bear in our camp for the past 6 trips, but we did find a coyote trip the alarm and a couple, wild humans who forgot that we had set up a perimeter all around.Once the alarm goes off, the most difficult part at night is to immediately having to go up, check the surrounding, and re-insert the pin to stop the sound. You can imagine how annoyed neighbors might get.

The size is perfect and love having the light. Have not pulled the pin out yet but I do keep it in my pocketall day and by my bed at night.

It alarms to easy because the pull pin is attached to the key ring, we were eating out at a restaurant and my daughter moved my purse and it went off. The people at the next table had a good laugh. Pull pin needs different wayto pull it off.

When they say these alarms are LOUD, they're not kidding! So far we have bought 15 of these alarms and have given them to every female in our family and some friends! Especially those ladies who are single and are out after dark. Going to order another 5 pack as I didn't quite have enough! My daughter lives in a wooded area where there are lots of bears. We gave one to her as she often walks her dog during the day and she often encounters a Mama bear with her cubs. Should she be challenged we pray that this alarm would be enough to make the bear turn away.The only thing I'm not wild about is the keychain attached to the pin. If you were to put more than one key on the ring I think the possibility of the alarm being activated by mistake is rather high due to the extra weight of the keys.These alarms are reasonably priced. They even have a small flashlight on them! Go ahead, buy them for everyone you know who might need extra protection...Granny, students with night classes, any female who is out after dark, seniors, and anyone who can be challenged by wildlife! I was initially planning to give these alarms out as Christmas gifts but I rethought that and realized that the people I love need the protection NOW!!You can't go wrong with these alarms!

I have one by my bed, one by my favorite chair, one on my handbag, one in the bathroom so anyone can use in case of an emergency, and one on my key chain that is hung on my pant loop. I’m ready in case of an emergency! Easy to use, reset, and recharge. Nice flashlight, too. Priced just right.

The item itself was quite acceptable. However, only on set of instructions was included with the package of 3 items. A set of instructions should have been included for each item (i.e. given as gifts to different people). Also, the instructions do not make it clear when or how often the unit needs to be recharged.
