Very good watch
The watch is excellent value for money. Looks good and comfortable to wear. Very accurate. After opening the box it took 2 days to fully charge the battery. This is normal according to Seiko.

A Very Tasteful Seiko, I'm Very Impressed!
Sadly, my previous Seiko Kinetic died after many, many years of use. This Solar Powered replacement soon caught my eye and I looked no further. It looks classy enough to be worn not only with a suit but also with casual dress.Everything is co-ordinated so nicely without looking tacky or gaudy. I particularly like the large Emerald Green Face along with the Gold five minute markers and hands. The Stainless Steel Case compliments the Face perfectly, along with the tasteful calf leather brown strap. I note some reviewers have changed the strap but I see no reason to do so. I much prefer the strap to the bracelet.... No more wrist hair pinching!Solar Powered, although you'd never know it from looking at it. Apparently, the cells are hidden around the face behind the second markers..... All very clever IMHO!The only VERY minor minus points are;1. The second hand does not quite line up with every second marker throughout a minute but you'd have to be pretty finicky to moan about this on a watch in this price range.2. The 'SAT' (Saturday) marker is emerald green in colour and the 'SUN' (Sunday) marker is red and both are difficult to read against thr black background. Quite why Seiko didin't leave them white like the weekdays, I know not. Again, not a big issue as I soon learnt that, if it's Green, it's Saturday and Red, Sunday!3. Non Luminous, so you cannot tell the time in the dark...... At All!Conclusion: A Seiko Quality Solar Powererd Watch, with a Sapphire Crystal Glass Face for this price..... You can't go wrong and as such, Highly Recommended!

Nice-looking solar watch but legibility isn't great
I've owned this watch about 4 months and these are the pros and cons I've found:Pros:- I love that it's solar powered. It works great and there will be no annoying battery changes- The watch looks good. The dial is attractive. They call it green but it can look green, brown or even dark grey depending on the light. And the strap is nice once it's worn in. I like that the watch is smart without being old-fashioned or too formalCons:- The only con I've found is that the legibility isn't great. It's good in daylight or in normal artificial light. But in bright artificial light there are reflections from the crystal, the dial and the hands - and you have to adjust the angle to see the time. In dim light the hour and minute hands are completely invisible. This may all be normal for any dress watch with a shiny dial and hands. So it's a good choice if your priority is the look of the watch. But if legibility is a big concern for you, I would look for a different watch

Very smart and high quality.
I wanted an everyday, but smart watch, not too expensive (under £500). Solar is ideal as no need to replace batteries, and high accuracy. With second hand, day & date. I hope this watch will last me 20+ years.

Excellent watch Does the job
The solar mechanism works perfectly. No need to make special arrangements. Just as long as it’s not left in the dark in the weeks when you are wearing your other 10 watches !

Subtle statement from a brand you can trust.
This watch may not be as flashy as some of the others out there on the market, it's comfortably middle of the pack in that regard. As a teacher, a watch is an incredibly useful tool in my daily life. When my previous watch batteries eventually ran out, I was faced with the idea of having to cope a few days without a watch until I could get to the jewelers. That's when I decided to start browsing for a replacement. The solar powered battery in this watch means I won't find myself in a similar situation. The date is easy to read, as is the watch face itself. The hands catch the light nicely, yet the glass face doesn't, meaning no more accidentally blinding the children sitting in the front row! A sturdily built watch which has earned its place on my wrist for years to come.

Good looking watch at a decent price
The Solar function is great, just leave it in sunlight for about 12 hours when you first get it and then forget about charging after that, as long as it sees daylight each day. Easy to read in daylight, not so at night as the hands aren’t luminous. Overall I’m pleased with it.
