Sieko: The Blingmaster Edition
Sieko does it once again with a great time piece. A very high end looking watch for a fraction of the price. It’s not nicknamed blingmaster for nothing. My father had a Sieko 5 all gold version from 1980 and I wanted to buy the updated version. The 1980’s version was very classic Sieko. And Yes, this version is gaudy and really in your face with the design. But that’s the point. In regards to time keeping- it’s excellent, better than my 2017 Sieko 5 Sport and as good as my Tissot 1875.The glow in the dark functions for at least 5-6 hours which is great at night as well.Overall totally worth it if you’re looking for something eye catching and quality for a fair price.

Fantastic watch for the price
Had been wanting an SKX for some time and this is basically the same thing without the dive rating. I don't need the dive rating, and this went on a sale for Black Friday so I finally pulled the trigger. This thing is nice. Fits well on the wrist. The band is easy to adjust. The weight is solid but not overbearing like some other watches I own. Been fairly accurate so far as well. Definitely going to be my new daily driver. The lume on this thing is no joke as well. I went to bed and 8 hours later it was still readable. Also, pics seem to make the lume look blue for some reason. It's actually green.UPDATE: I've had this for 5 months now and I still love it. I've bought a bunch of different bands to use with it, and unfortunately the spring system broke on one of the stock spring bars when I pressed it a bit hard trying to get it out. You just need a thicker spring bar as a replacement if you want to use the included band again (which I go back to often). I've been pretty consistently -15 seconds a day. It gains time if I leave it off at night, but I sleep with it on. Adjusting the time every few days isn't really a big deal for me and considering +/- 45 seconds is the spec for this movement I'm not mad. Definitely worth the purchase. No issues so far with scratching the PVD coating. Everything still looks as good as when I got it.

Seiko 5 home run
Looks great in person, finish and feel are great for this price range and the green is a great shade, more like emerald and the rose gold outlines are a nice touch. I have no regrets.

Crown could be more crisp. Hands are peach not white, but I don't care.
I recently purchased the SRPD59 watch, and I’m really impressed with its design and functionality! The striking orange sunray dial is not only eye-catching but also easy to read thanks to the LumiBrite hands and markers. The 4R36 caliber movement ensures accurate timekeeping, and I appreciate the self-winding feature—definitely a bonus for anyone who wants a reliable timepiece without constantly fiddling with batteries. The rotating bezel adds a practical element for timing, and the stainless steel construction gives it a durable yet classic look that suits various occasions. Plus, the 100M water resistance means I can wear it confidently, whether I’m out for a swim or caught in the rain. However, I did encounter a bit of a challenge when it comes to setting the time. The lugs around the crown make it somewhat difficult to grip, which can be frustrating. A crown with sharper edges would significantly improve the usability and make adjusting the time much easier.Overall, the SRPD59 is a fantastic watch with excellent features and style. Just a small tweak to the crown design could elevate it even further!

As many know the SKX was certified for 200m while this is not. I've owned an SKX for years and the closest it's gotten to water is the sink or a pool. I always desired to mod one but never went further than the band. Another critique is that has Hardlex and not a Sapphire. I have watches with both and I've never had an issue so I feel this is a bit overblown as a criticism. Nobody can tell you don't have a Sapphire dial and if you did would you even use it in that situation where you though it may scratch? Further, if you mod an SKX that dive certification is lost and it's anyone's guess what happens when you take it into the water. Seiko appears to have been watching that mod scene grow and these new Seiko 5's are basically them cashing in on that. They have released dozens of different color combinations and dropped the water resistance but they look amazing. Chances are you'll be using the second hand hack and winding mechanism more often than diving 200 meters into the ocean. Sure it's faking a dive watch that falls into the category of fashion watch. The clasp is die cast and the bracelet will produce an occasional tin clank you move about. I just replace the bracelets and they then feel like a high end watch. Seiko is the king of mass produced mechanical watches, so much so that they sneak these movements into higher end watches. Everything that I've said is a minor criticism for a 200 dollar automatic time piece that sells at the same price you'll find a plastic and quartz G-Shock. I'll be purchasing luxury watches going forwards as this completes my budget collection, but I'll continue to wear these as they are exceptional watches. My luxury watches typically make an appearance on special occasions.

As advertised
Easy to set up day, date and time for first time. Quality is very good. The price was good and the shipping was quick. As advertised, and I'm happy with the watch.
