LEGO Super Heroes Daily Bugle Showdown 76006

We are huge LEGO fans, and the fact that this is Spider Man themed made this a no-brainer. My son is a little young to do this on his own (4 years old), but he and I put it assembled it together and have had a great time with it. As always, it is great for learning how to read instructions, do things step by step, and develop a sense of accomplishment while having fun at the same time. It also comes with five minifigures - which might have been worth the nearly $50 as it was: namely, Spider Man, Dr. Doom, Beetle, J.Jonah Jameson, and Aveo (I think that is his name).

My son received this for his 5th birthday. He's big into the super heroes. No, he could not put it together all by himself, but we worked on it together, and he got better and faster with each turn of the instructions page. His ability to understand the instructions and the sequencing improved quickly, which was neat to watch. It was fun mother/son time. Once together, we put it on a large 12 x12 lego plate, and he has a ball playing with spiderman, the web "rope," and the flying vehicle.

So, I purchase these sets for sealed collection purposes, the product is legit, but for the price the box is a little dinged up and it has been opened, but I'm pretty sure it's just to make sure everything was in the box before shipping because it was all sealed inside. If you want this set to build, it is legit, if you want it for the sealed collection, the box could be better, and it is not Lego sealed anymore but still new and contents inside are sealed.

The highest quality. Great kit that can be built over and over or built into something different. My 5 yr old nephew loves super heroes so he was completely enthralled and, yes, the age range is 6 - 12 but it was a good gift for him. His Mom did help him (she loves playing it with it, too) but he'll get years of fun from the gift.Shipment was timely as promised and it was a good price. I was completely happy with the experience.

This was not the best purchase I've made. I must say that I was highly disappointed with this set. The daily daily bugle building was extremely fragile and not well designed at all. In its unstableness, it falls down at five second intervals sending the upper half of the building crashing to the ground. And the windows scattering over the floor. It is also very unrealistic as there are no stairs except for a ladder on the outside of the building. Doctor Dooms' ship was a sturdy piece of junk! The only way to retract the claw was to wrap it around the tail of the ship. The only good reason to buy this thing would be for the mini-figures who all look great. Overall a sad product and a waste of money. Two stars.

My 6 year old boy wanted the Spiderman Daily Bugle more than anything. When he received it we started to put it together. In reality he didn't need my help and ended up doing it by himself. I only purchased this set to get the Dr.Doom and Nova figures. They should have included a better figure than Beetle.
