Beautiful, but only 12 recipes (albeit, they’re all good).
This cook book is beautiful to thumb through, but it only has 12 recipes. Now, that being said, they are 12 REALLY good looking recipes. I rarely use more than a fourth of the recipes in any given cook book, but I believe I’ll be using all of the ones in this one. I bought the hard cover because I expected it to be waggled around all over creation and wanted it to hold up, and I bought the cookbook itself as much to support OverlandX as anything, but I really would have liked for it to have a few more than 12 recipes.

Awesome food ideas
My wife is always looking for new ideas, and she loves this cookbook. I’ve watched these recipes being made at camp for along time and have always showed them to her. Great ideas from the master himself.

Great taste of the Adventure
I see so many here disappointed with the book. Not enough recipes, to many pictures to small for the money. I feel that this cook book is more than a cook book, it represents adventure that we are living through him. He states he is not a chef, he is just passing on some things from the trail that he hosted others. Not all or everything that he cooks are in the book, but some with some pictures to intrigue our imagination. We go out to dinner and spend $30 and come away with a full stomach for a few hours then it’s gone. With the $30 bucks you sent to buy the cook book you get a few recipes, some cool pictures and give him the ability to keep making content. I say thanks so much for a little something in exchange for a few bucks. Many people in podcasting just ask for support and send you a sticker for $30. Feel good and enjoy the content he makes. Thanks so much we will keep watching.

Somewhat of a let down.
I have been a fan of the Trailrecon channel and love all that Brad and Marco put into it. I have watched Marco talk about so many trail meals that were amazing, so when I found this book I thought it was going to be a great addition to my rig. Unfortunately, it is very limited, no talk really about overlanding which I get it, it's a cook book, but I expected more than 3-4 recipes. I think Marco could have done so much better with this and it was really kind of a let down. Don't get me wrong though, what he did share is so tasty! I just expected more recipes. I'll keep an eye out for maybe an updated edition but not holding my breath.

Nice little magazine, but not a $27 “book”
We love Marco and love watching him whip up delicious meals in the wilderness. Unfortunately, his “book” is a skinny magazine (3/16 of a inch thick) that has a few nice pictures and a handful of recipes. I’d recommend it if it was $7 — because it’s basically like buying an issue of “Sunset” or a BBQ magazine with all of the adds removed. The reason for only two stars isn’t a comment on Marco, his abilities, or the value of his cooking advice. It’s a comment on bang-for-the-buck, which is very, very poor. For less than $30 you can buy an actual book with dozens of recipes and detailed instructions.

Gorgeous Book too pricey for what you get
I was really excited to order this book only to be disappointed with the size. There are 13 recipes in this book, 46 pages. The book is only a quarter inch thick. You can buy a 204 page cookbook by Anthony Bourdain for less money. With that being said the book itself has wonderful photos and the recipes are delicious! It motivates you to want to go cook outdoors. If I were to suggest one thing, it would be for the author to create a larger collection of photos and recipes before publishing a book. For the price it should be three times the size at least. Marco is fun to watch during their overlander adventures. I love how he surprises his friends over and over with delicious scratch meals. The one good thing I can say is that being as light as the book is it will easily slip into the box to take along without adding too much bulk.

The "How to" is great
Well worth the time and effort to get this book and sit down and read it. It helped my limited cooking ability.

OvrlndX cooking
I love watching Marco cook on youtube so naturally I had to purchase this book. So far I've made the overland sauce and sandwiches, which were delicious. Can't wait to take some of these recipes out on the trail for some epic meals.

Definitely not worth the £22 for the paperback
I love watching this guy but I felt ripped off as there is only 12 recipes in the entire book which is only 40 odd pages long . Really disappointing.
