Makes a good present
2nd purchase. Already had my own, this was for a friend who is very pleased with it. As well as being useful, it's nice to look through on a winter's evening to encourage dreams for the spring.

Excellent one-stop resource for inspiration in any garden
This superb and inspirational book leads you right through from brightening up your doorway to planning a whole new garden from scratch. It caters for novices or those with just a window box through a multitude of ideas for domestic gardens or working plots right up to landscape architecture and stately homes! The book is beautifully illustrated with full-colour photographs, excellent artists impressions (with numbered outlines to identify plants) and helpful diagrams to understand, for example, pruning or making an arbour. It covers projects like building compost bins and adding a pond; you can follow themes of scent, colour, form or texture; find out how to attract wildlife or make a garden safe for children. All the way through are small hints & tips boxes about making gardening easier or saving time and money. A thoroughly good read and a resource you will reach for time and time again.
