Vehicle: 2014 Jamboree, Class C MotorhomeI was a little hesitant to get an aftermarket carb and it seems like there are many to choose from.  I tried to clean the one on my 4000 Onan by removing it and soaking the jets as best as I could. It still didn't fix the problem which I feel was just being gummed up from ethanol fuel and sitting in the garage for extended periods of time. Once the original carb was removed it took less than 15 minutes to re-install the new carb. It started right up after priming and ran with a load just fine.  I've also let it run for 20 minutes later on and still no problems.  So for now this has been an awesome quick fix to the carburetor problem. and the price over and OEM is un-real.A quick tip is to put the gaskets on the carb ahead of time. I used a small amount of silicone adhesive and let it cure a couple of hours before I started the install. This holds them in place when you're trying to get the 10mm screws in. Also a good time to change the oil, spark plug and filter.Last tips, Run a fuel stabilizer in your gas to maybe help the gumming problem and install a gas line valve to shut the fuel off to the carb, and run it dry.

My gen-set wouldn't start even after hours of working on it. All the codes thrown led back to the carb. Wasn't sure that this would fix it but I thought why spend OEM type money on a chance. Found this item at 1/6th the price, changed it out and now the gen-set purrs like a kitten (a LOUD one)!

This matched exactly to make Onan 4000 carb. I confirmed the part number on the carb before ordering. My generator would not stay running. It had not been started in a few years as I purchased camper with a fault starter on the generator and just now got time to fix it. As soon as I installed this carb, the generator fired right up and ran as it should. Very happy with it so far. I hope the long term is great as well.

My generator had the California EVAP carb which i was qouted $700 to replace by my RV dealer.This one doesn't have the output for the evaporative emissions crap for my carburetor but otherwise it was the same.I installed this in my generator and it has now run better the last day or two then it never has. I bought this RV new and had troubles with the generator from day one. it would overheat and then randomly shut down.my 2018 generator has over 1100 hours on it now.The other day it started flooding the carb with a stuck float or needle valve. I couldn't get it unstuck so I had to replace it.Took me about an hour to install, I already had the old one out. The generator started right up and literally has been running for about 40 hours strait now.for $50 I'm probably going to buy a spare and throw it in my spare parts box along with the extra water pump that I have etc. critical things that I can't have fail.

Was hesitate after reading some of the reviews but I ordered it because it was worth a try for the money. Not to bad to install. Hardest part is keeping the gaskets in place while installing. I used some silicone gasket to hold and let dry and that worked perfect. My Onan 4000 had not run in at least six years so I know the carburetor was bad. After I installed it, it fired right up and has been running for hours! I’ll write another update post if something goes wrong but for now, I’m completely satisfied!

This carburetor for the Onan Generator worked just fine it’s running good under load and starts right on the first time. Hopefully will last a while and the price is really cheap compare to a OEM part
