I purchased the OdorStop OS2500UV2 Professional Ozone Generator to use in a home we purchased that had a horrible smell of years of cigarette smoke. (As a matter of fact, the home smelled so bad that one of area's top realtors wouldn't even walk into it to show it.) We first removed all of the existing carpet. We then ran the ozone generator every evening after the contractor left for the allowed 12 hour timer and then all weekend long with the hold feature. (So that no one was in the home while the machine was in use.) After 6 weeks, the nicotine smell was 95% gone. There was one really rainy day that I smelled some residual smell. After our contractor applied Kilz primer to the walls and ceilings, all evidence of the nicotine is gone. The OdorStop ozone generator was a great investment with excellent results! I highly recommend!

While I've used the ozone option a few times, I find that I use the unit more often with the ozone turned off. It has a very powerful (and loud) motor that really moves the air. Thus, I use it as an air purifier with 2 UV light bulbs that hopefully sanitize the air. I also followed the seller's suggestion of putting it near my a/c intake vent and then turning on the HVAC fan. Of course, it's very portable so I can easily move it from room to room as well. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend the product.

I had an Enerzen O-888G that died after 6 years of heavy use so I decided to start looking for a replacement. I stumbled across the OdorStop and the fact that it had a bigger fan and more plates I assumed that it would be much better. That was a bad assumption. The first picture is from the Enerzen ozone plate (LOTS of ozone produced) and the second is from the odorstop (you can only see the UV light illuminating the ozone plates). The small, single plate Enerzen, eliminated more odors then the double plate, larger fan odorstop did. I ran the odorstop for 12 hours in a 12 x 12 room and the odor was still there. Unfortunately, I didn't use it until 45 days after I bought it. So the return is not available anymore. I have since purchased two Enerzen Commercial Ozone Generator 6,000mg Industrial O3 Air Purifier which eliminated the odor in the ENTIRE house at half the price for two machines. Don't waste your money on the odorstop. Bigger fan with lower ozone output equals useless!!!!

OdorStop OS2500UV2 - I choose this particular model because of all the features: e.g. – Ozone, UV and Carbon Filter; and all of those being changeable.- It’s size about like a stack of phone books.- It is reasonably light so easy to handle. About 7 lbs. (guess)- It will work in the vertical position, which is how I use it in the chase behind the air-conditioning filter.- UV effectiveness: UV light needs contact time to work, so it will only be useful on slow setting.- UV light is not separate switch from other operations. This means it is always burning when on.So no way to conserve the $$ bulb when not needed.- OdorStop machines are NOT made in the USA as I had thought.“OdorStop is a US company” so the benefits of customer service in USA.- Carbon Filter is a simple low density pre-filter.

This machine really is terrific as doing it's most important function and that is generating ozone and spreading it throughout the room. The timer does not shut off when it is set to about 50% of the time. The first time that I realized this, I was rehabbing a home my family was about to move into and set the timer for 2 hours and left. I came back two days later (I live several hours away) and the unit was still running. It severely ozone burned that room and it had to be repainted (carpet was not yet in).I did not return it as I have been manually checking it to turn it off during the times that the timer doesn't work. I did not return the unit because otherwise it works great and I know it's expensive for a company to deal with returns. I guess I just got a unit w/ a defective timer.

My wife is a real estate agent and we bought this as she had a listing where the owners had many cats so new carpets, paint and all were needed to help eliminate the cat smell. After they moved into their new home and the renovations started we used this machine each night over several days to eliminate the rest of the odor in the home. It worked great. Nobody that looked at the house said anything about being able to smell the previous pets. I highly recommend this machine for the occasional use like this.

Unit seems to deodorize and sanitize the room efficiently. Only complaint is the fan is loud and not adjustable when using UVC only. Hard to carryon a conversation.

This company has excellent customer service! Jessica emailed me responses to my questions on the next business day! This machine has a carbon filter and a UV light. We set it near the cold air return in our office. At night, we turn on the timer with the ozone generator. The people that designed this box were thinking ahead, the cord for power is 15 feet and yellow. The box is Duke Blue for the basketball fans out there. We did a good bit of research on this box and even though our space is around 1500 sq ft we decided on the 2500 sq ft model because we have air flow coming in from the hallway outside our office from 3 doors. Given the current Pandemic we have better peace of mind. The only downside to this box is the fan is loud because it is moving a large amount of air. However, after about a week and a half of use, I'm starting to hear it less. Well done whoever came up with this device!
