Saved me from a huge headache
I had to replace the exhaust manifold gasket on my 4.7L Dodge Dakota. These are known for breaking the manifold bolts so I bought the Master Extractor Kit, when it arrived I didn't think they would do anything, being a pretty small device, when the bolt broke off flush with the cylinder head (of course) first I tried a left handed drill bit, no help, then I tried the 3/8 extractor, followed the instructions, it drilled right into the bolt then the extractor part caught the bolt and stopped the drill dead, I put a wrench on the flats of the extractor section, gave a little extra force and hit the drill trigger and out comes the bolt, Wow, I've never had an extractor work this well. Highly recommed this product, it's well made, high quality materials and a unique design that actually works. A couple of tips, soak the bolt, stud or what ever with a good penetrating oil like Aerokroil for a while before trying, and use some kind of cutting oil while drilling to keep the bit from overheating and ruining the cutting edge, centerpunch the work piece and maybe start with a small pilot hole to make sure the extractor is centered on the bolt. It will keep you from busting a knuckle and cursing a bunch, A great tool and worth the price!!

Pricey investment, paid back the first time you use it
This extractor kit is a bit of a pricey investment, but is a useful kit to have for both DIY-minded homeowners and professionals who work with hardware frequently. The bits are well made, from very high grade steel and perform exactly as advertised. These will last a very long time, so long as you don't lose them by storing them loose and out of the case. While the price of admission is high, the ease and simplicity with which these tools work make it worth it. There is no need to drill pilot holes, which is a great thing, as I've sometimes made damaged fasteners worse when doing that. If your previous method of extraction was via cutting into damaged fasteners with a rotary tool+cutting disk and then using a screwdriver...just save yourself the time, the cutting disk, and risk of damaging a surface by getting this kit.

Stripped screws are very frustrating
This has helped me remove some stripped screws but some of the bits eventually broke. Buy a couple of these.

Every new mechanic needs this set.
A must-have if you happen to break a lot of bolts, etc. I was working on busses, which vibrate A LOT and cause bolts to weaken and break a lot, so I used this set constantly and it was always so helpful.

Did not work, bits seem weak.
Did not work in my case. Directions are simple and clear but simply didn't work as it's intended to. Also bits seem weak so if you plan on using them for a long time or frequently then you should look elsewhere.

Broke during first use
tried extracting a hex bolt from a roll cage on a jeep YJ and the 5/16 extractor snapped immediately even though hole was straight and used low speed. Was able to get the tapered head off the bolt by using the next size up, but the bolt is still in place. I need the 5/16 size to extract this bolt and hope the seller will replace so I don't have to purchase another set to get another 5/16 extractor.

Ready for any problem screw you run into.
I don't sweat broken screws anymore. I know this will get them out. No more drilling and damaging threads, and then having to rethread/tap. Save time and hassel. The price is a little high, but you get everything at once, you will have options and not have to make the wrong tool work somehow. This screw extractor set has saved me countless hours and stress and frustration. The right tool for the job is the way to go.
