Awsome Cat Toy
I truly thought this would be another gimmick toy for my cats and they would get bored with it and never play with it again. Boy was I wrong. When we have it on, the cats are mesmerized by this little ball that has a wacky tail with a bell on it. The ball will actually learn as it rolls on the floor, meaning it will move around objects that might be in the way. The ball has random movements so it is difficult to get bored watching it do the same thing over and over. It does work better if you have hardwood or tile floors. It can get stuck if you have longer carpet. If the sensor goes to sleep, it will wake up if you give the ball a nudge or if you cat starts batting it around a bit. I would recommend being careful around stairs as you don't want it to roll down the stairs and crash land at the bottom. I would highly recommend buying for hours of entertainment from your cats and for your cats.

Decent
The product was a good size and my cat really liked the string attached. However, it rolls around awkwardly and is pretty loud, which scared my cat. If your cat isn’t easily scared then it’s a good idea, my cat is just pretty scared if loud noises!

A Great Toy, but can use one small upgrade!
My Siamese kitten loves this. It's fun, and it does not scare the kitten. It works really well on a tile or linoleum floor but not at all on the carpet. I could see it working on a thin rug. The cord attached to the moving ball snakes around on the floor, with a small sliver jingle ball attached to the end. I replaced it with a small soft object that my kitten could bite and claw on. She told me it makes the toy a lot more fun to play with. Having this toy is like having a babysitter. It's great to get it out during my kitten's daily playtime when my schedule conflicts. I break out the ball, and she has a good time.

Works for a few uses then dies
I recieved this toy and immediately opened it up so my cat could start playing with it. He loved it. Then the next day it stopped working. I thought maybe the batteries they sent lost charge so I replaced them with some new ones but the toy would stop moving after activation each time. Very dissatisfied.

This is the coolest!
I wasn't sure if my son's new cat would be afraid of this baseball-sized white plastic ball that has a flashing red light and a long tail, but she LOVES it! It is hilarious to watch it seem to chase her and vise versa. It automatically stops if not moved for a minute, but takes off again as soon as she paws at it. It's thin "tail" is a foot long and comes with a tiny bell attached that you can change out for other lightweight toys, such as a feather, etc. via a small clasp. We've even tied her catnip mouse to it and it held on fine. I would buy again, and this would make a great gift for any cat lover.

Thumbs down from two cats two dogs and one human
Of course every pet is different and maybe yours will find this to be their favorite toy. My cats and I dog just stared at it for a few minutes and went off for a nap. I have a toy made for cats from the same company that I purchased several years ago and the cat plays with it.,. the dog thinks it's the best toy ever created. The old one finally died and I couldn't find the exact replacement. So we tried this one. Even I thought it was pretty boring. It's too heavily weighted on the bottom so it doesn't really roll around that well if you have uneven floor types it's going to get stuck a lot and the red light is not a laser it's just a red light bulb inside the ball. I guess I'll go back searching for the old style one. But like I say everyone is different and maybe your pets will love it.

My cat loves this!
Idk how but my cat knows how to turn this on when it's convenient for him and I've been hard pressed to find him interactive toys but this one is a winner and the price is worth it! After my 3 yo grandson was at my house, this toy disappeared so I bought another! One of the best toys, I promise, but there has to room for the ball to keep going or it spins in place until it shuts itself off. There's also another setting that allows your cat to play until it's inactive and it'll turn on again once the cat interacts, which is really cool and it still turns off after 8 minutes (I think) of inactivity, saving batteries

Bought for a chiweenie, shes not a fan
Well, this thing seemed like a good idea. I put in rechargeable batteries and started it up. My little Chiweenie was very curious about it, she followed it around and barked at it, but she would never hit it with her paw to wake it back up... In the other mode where it just goes and goes, I was impressed with the thing getting itself out of difficult situations like corners, under furniture, etc. It never got stuck. In the end, this isn't advertised as a dog toy and it didn't work for my fur baby as a dog toy. Still, it has promise.
