Works great and easy to hold

When it arrived my first impression was that it well constructed. It is beefier than what I had previously which was slim and didn't add much thickness to the phone. This one adds some size and that means better protection. I really like the retractable stand/finger ring holder that folds in nicely. I'm thinking this would work for me.As I used it more throughout the day I found that the fingerprint sensor wasn't very reliable and after taking a better look at the case's sensor cutout I realized that it is not in alignment with the sensor. And along with the case thickness my finger is not read that well. Maybe I could redo the finger print with the case on, but that's just a work around for the cutout not being in the right place. OK, maybe I could live with it.As I do every night, I go to plug in the charger on my nightstand and found it wouldn't slide in fully preventing it from charging and not staying plugged in. When I looked at the cutout for the charger, it too is not centered so the charger will not go past the edge of the case. I had to remove the case to charge it. And as I said, this case is beefy and stiff so getting it on or off in a bit of a struggle and not something I would want to do as I sleep walk to climb into bed. Check the photos. I'll probably take a razor blade to the case. For what it cost, I'm not dealing with the return. But I ordered a different case for my every day use.Note: I added fingerprints with the case so now it works with or without the case. So I will trim just the charging cutout and I'm good.

This case is sturdy, and after the first few falls with my phone in the case (not deliberate) I think the case will do its job. I am very confident that with falls on the edges, the case can provide good protection.I would have preferred if it was about a millimeter deeper to offer more protection for a phone falling face down on a flat surface.It is easy to hold and use, and plugging in headphone jacks and usb cable is easy.It is also easy to clean at the end of a day. I do gardening and do get the phone dirtyI call it good value for money

I never bought a case for a phone before, but I read that the G8 Play had a glass case and was concerned about that. This had a few good reviews, looked nice and was the right color and price. I am very pleased with it. It looks as good or better than the pictures. The color motif is well done; red's my favorite. It has a nice feel to it, which I didn't expect. It's as rugged as it looks. I did drop the phone once already, and it's fine, so I'm glad to have this case. I haven and not a nuisance so far't had a kickstand in a long time, and I like this one. It stays folded most of the time; occasionally it flops out of place when I put the phone into my pocket, but it's not hard to fold again. It has holes for everything except the SIM/SDcard slot cover. I thought that would be a pain to deal with, but I can pull just that one corner of the case off to get the cover off, and the case is stiff enough that it stays in place while I work there and then is easy to put back on. If it holds up as long as the phone, and the phone lasts as long as my last one, it will pay for itself many times over.

The stand ring broke off pretty soon after I bought it, my husband's works well though!

It's not as tight a fit around my phone as I wanted - it does sometimes slip off if I'm taking my phone out of something that's a bit of a tight squeeze. Otherwise, it's fine.

Will buy again
