Lewis N. Clark Lightweight Packable Backpack Bag w/RFID Pocket, Red/Gray, 18 inch

I bought this day pack prior to a visit to Las Vegas. I used it frequently while visiting the city and I also used it when hiking at Red Rocks. The main compartment was large enough to hold my gear, food, water and a change of clothing. There is also a large interior pocket, and pocket on the flap, an exterior water bottle pocket and a small exterior RFID pocket. All the pockets except the water bottle holder have zippers and the main compartment can be cinched and then covered with the flap. The shoulder straps and back padding are comfortable when carrying a heavy load and the webbing over the padding helped to keep me cool. The clasps are all made of hard plastic and seem durable. Using the pack works out pretty well - it’s easy to load and it’s small enough that I can easily find what I’m looking for. I’ve used it to store food and water before a hike or keep extra clothing when touring a city. It’s a great pack to wear around and fill it when shopping or if you need to shed a jacket and want to keep it in the pack. It claims to be water-resistant but have not yet worn the pack in wet weather to comment on that.

I used to love this brand, but it has declined. We recently bought a backpack. The straps broke 2 months later. It was not from heavy or unusual use. I had used it lightly, to carry a slim and light laptop to my office 2-3 times a week. I'm calling customer service and will update this review, if they are able to make good on their 1-year warranty.

I bought this bag to use for everyday and it is just perfect. It is lightweight, roomy with lots of room for all our stuff. Having to take lots of items on a day out with the kids, this bag is just what I needed. No need to take my purse along as it has a RFID pocket on the side where I can put my credit cards, ID and cash. The water bottle mesh pocket on the side holds the large bottle of water that I always have with me. Inside, there is an additional mesh zip pocket perfect for my keys and phone for easy access. The padded straps are super comfy and adjustable and it has a grab handle at the top. This bag is a gem. I loaded it up and it was great. Bonus , the entire bag is water resistant and this is a plus for spills that happen often. I would definitely recommend this bag. Lightweight, good looking, roomy, water resistant. Perfect.

This bag is nearly weightless, so the bulk of its weight will be the weight of the contents — this is ideal for a travel bag. It is a roomy bag, so it can accommodate small to large loads. The construction looks sturdy — only time will tell whether it “wears and tears” well. It’s also a very comfortable fit — it feels ergonomic. I am happy with this purchase.

Very lightweight and comfortable, and holds a surprising amount of things! Love the addition of an RFID blocking pocket to protect credit card. Compact enough to bring along as an extra bag on a trip too.

I am away on vacation and used this backpack for the FIRST TIME today. It had a waterbottle and towel. Nothing else. As I was hiking, I noticed it was off balance. I assumed I needed to adjust the strap. However, when I took the bag off, I saw that the strap was completely torn away from the bag! On the FIRST USE! On my summer vacation! Not happy at all.

My son used this bag on a trip to Thailand and loved it. Small enough, strong enough and cool enough for him to use. I decided to try as well and he was right. This bag is great for travel but also great for concerts,ball games, bike ride, walk with the dog. You will use all the time.Great choice - highly recommend!
