This paper is amazing. It is well worth the price
This paper is amazing. It is well worth the price. I use it with my Canon MP620 printer with Canon ink to print beautiful pictures. I did profile the paper first with my spyder print but I believe Canson provides profiles for some printers on their website. I can't believe how much saturation you can achieve with this paper or how deep black can render given this is a matte finish. I have profiled a number of photo paper from Canon, HP, Ilford and none has blown me away like this. If you want amazing pictures don't go cheap. Printing is an art in itself and having the right paper is just as important as the ink you are using. On some papers the Canon inks look muddy with lack of depth but not with this paper. They look amazing with this paper. By the way, it is extra white with no weird perceptible color shifts. Just make sure you are printing on the right side of the paper (the smoother side).

Wonderful Paper if It Arrives Undamaged
First of all, I believe the damaged box is fairly irrelevant to the quality of the prints I have achieved using Canson's profile on my Epson SP5000. However, whenever an item arrives damaged, it merits attention as that may ensure better care in future. One corner of each sheet is crumpled up to about 1/2 in. This doesn't matter for my current application since I'm printing 6 x 8 inches on it, so the damaged part will be trimmed when I do the dry mounting. Back to the quality, my monitor is calibrated and after I mistakenly used a luster (glossy) setting in the paper type dropdown the first go at it, I got a very true image-to-screen print on the paper using the premium presentation matte choice the second time. It does help to use max quality also. Just an update: The second box of paper in this order ALSO had the sheets damaged, even moreso than the first. What a shame.

Canson Rag Photographique
I just started using Canson papers when I purchased a new Canon Prograf Pro1000 printer. Wow! The Rag Photographique is absolutely amazing and has a nice heavyweight feel. Be sure to download the ICC profiles from the Canson website. I also profiled the paper with my SpyderPrint and did find some subtle differences between the two profiles. Just a matter of opinion, but I liked the SpyderPrint profile a bit better. Blacks seemed a bit more saturated. This paper will deliver whatever you throw at it with fantastic results. Well worth the money.

my what a great photo art paper
Oh, my what a great photo art paper. It produces fabulous prints on my Canon Pixma Pro 100--- which is also fab! It is expensive, but not as much as me having it done by a print shop. The results are exceptional.
