9GreenBox - Sweet Bay Herb Bonsai with Fertilizer

My little bay leaf bonsai arrived well packed and is thriving just fine. It is small, but with time I hope to have a few leaves to pluck for cooking.

When I received a cardboard box full of styrofoam peanuts I immediately assumed the worst. Either it was dead, or it was fake. But to my surprise my little tree was perfectly fine. It was a touch smaller than I expected it to be but aside from that its a fine bonsai. My only real complaint might be just how powerfully compact the soil was. It was so tough that water just rolled right off of it and onto my shelf and made me a touch concerned for the roots of this tree. But after a good soak it seems fine enough.

It arrived on time, and looked ok. I noticed it looking sad a few days after arriving. It was completely dead within the second week. I followed the light and water recommendations religiously. 9GreenBox has not responded to email.

It came in a nice pot and the plant looks healthyCame with some fertilizer too!Hopefully it grows well, I put it outside in my yard

TOO SMALL AND LOOKS MALNOURISHED

This plant arrived in good shape and was packaged very well. It did come with the pot shown. However, when it arrived it had brown spots on it as in the picture. I was informed this was scale. I was advised several different fixes, including scrape the spots off with soapy water and then apply Neem oil to the more extreme “burn it!” I chose the less extreme method and have isolated it from my other plants. I really wanted this tree and am hopeful that I did the right thing.

I receiced the first bay leaf plant I ordered but then it was too very small and seems it will not grow good and I paid 22 dollars including tax,, So I was not happy and email the seller,, and they were nice and prompt to tell me that if what I like to refund the full amount or have a replacement,, So I told them I love to have replacement but did not let me return the first one ,, so Now I got the second plant and a little bigger with the first one,, so its ok ,,, but I really like a bigger full grown plant,, But its ok Im happy now because I got 2 plants with what I paid 22 dollars,, I wish and hope they will both grow healthy,, So thanks to the seller for very nice and considerate to my request,, So I can say that buy plants to 9Green Box. they are good and polite, respecttable and very prompt in answering your complains and request! thanks

These are hard to find. I've scoured all the local nurseries. Ordering a plant online was a bit scary, but I gave it a shot. At first the delivery time was many weeks in the future, then one day (after about a week) this showed up on the doorstep! It arrived in good shape and survived shipping just fine.It is a bit smaller in height than what is shown in the photo. However, it is bushy and robust. These grow slowly, so we'll see how it does. I won't be able to harvest any leaves for a while.It did come with a packet of fertilizer that should last a year or more if you follow the instructions.Finally, it also came with some bugs. Either that or it has attracted some bugs that we've never had in our kitchen before. We washed it off well and left it outside for a few weeks and bugs are gone.
