Works well with some caveats
I got 8 of these about 3 years ago and another 2 last month, here's my long term review:+ durability, after 3 years I lost 2/8, one hit by a garbage can blown in 60 mph winds and one that the sprinkler hit at point-blank range every day. The color on them hasn't visibly degraded. Didn't ever take them inside.+ brightness/battery life, they make plenty of light and several often are still going when I leave for work in the morning+ pattern, I love the patterns they makeNow, some very specific cons/considerations:1. You want to put the stakes deep enough that you can unscrew the tops easily and have it be flush with the ground. THIS IS VERY DIFFICULT IN ROCKY SOIL.2. If you don't put them deep enough as stated, even mowing around them, you'll eventually hit/bend the metal. Weed-whacker lines easily wrap around the thin poles so be careful with that.3. You'll need to occasionally clean the solar panels on the top, they get pretty nasty over time.4. Make sure they're in straight or at least pointed at the same angle if you want them to come on and stay on the same time.

Beautiful
I bought 4 of these and they are beautiful! One quit working after 6 months. The other 3 have lasted several months.

Outdoor Moon & Star lights
The lights are extremely easy to assemble. I love the lights because the Moon & Star display is so pretty on the lawn in the darkness. The only disappointing part is that the display on the lawn is too small & it doesn't matter how they are angled. If it came w/another piece to extend the pole a little higher it would work better for my purposes. I may try to rig them up as hanging lights cuz the display does get a bit larger as the lamp is raised higher. Even w/the small issue of the display size I'm still glad I purchased them & may get another set just to get more design coverage on the lawn.

Great look on a garden path day or night. Use care in assembly.
These perform very well in sunny to semi-shaded areas in my yard. I took care in spacing them apart for best light coverage. They create a charming ambiance while guiding your steps in the dark. The light color is cool not warm white. They are bright for solar path lights, which are usually low in brightness. They are size-able, but in my opinion, look good in spite of this. It’s a compromise between size and brightness with this type of lighting.Be sure to put the top solar part in full sun for a day before you install them. Take extra care not to grasp the thin aluminum flanges while installing, grasp the stake instead because the flanges will come off and they can be a pain to put back on. For me it was worth dealing with to get this look. If you want blazing bright light to illuminate your path and annoy your neighbors, get big spotlights instead of path lights.

Stay lit for several hours even after sitting outside on overcast day
Loved the fact they were metal and displayed a bright pattern on the ground. Since earlier review of issue, between the male thread end on the top of the post being installed on an angle, and the female threads in the light base itself being machined off center which meant either post was straight up and the light was tilted, or the light was level and post tilted, that appears to have been corrected in following pair. Since using them the past 2 years, they have held up very well looks wise and under severe downpours for the 3 seasons they are on display.

good customer service!
One of the two lights did not charge properly, but Walensee immediately sent me a replacement order through Amazon, now both lights work well. These lights are of sufficient quality for lighting up a pathway at night with 'just enough' light, so they're not blindingly bright enough to wreck your night vision.
