Beware of the Slate colored pants! Black is good choice.
Need to be selective in which color you buy. The fit of certain colors is smaller than the size selected. Recently purchased the Black, Slate & Slate Blue pants. The Black fit as expected while the Slate was much tighter in waist and in butt through legs. I noticed the material of the black pants seems to be much more light, soft & flexible while the slate pants had much more heavier, stiffness to the material. I'm hoping the slate blue fits like the black pants, fingers crossed! My take away so far is I will definitely buy the black again and if they carry a navy blue I would try those out. Seems the basic colors are made truer to fit than the more fancy named colors. I hope this helps people in deciding on this pant. This paragraph is an update to my comments above. The Slate Blue pants fit well as did the Black pants. Very unhappy with Slate pants! It may be a hit or miss thing (Quality of Manufacturing). Probably not made in America.

High Riding Pair of Mid-Range Quality Pants
Firstly, pants are fairly expensive at their regular price now a days. This goes for really any level of quality. If you go in mid-range department store, expect a ~70$ tag. Sounds like a high price, however the pants aren't necessarily made to the best standards even at that. In comes the Van Heusen.Van Heusen is on the low-to-middle range as quality stands. The regular price of these pants are lower than average (to reflect the latter) however I feel is still a bit too high for what you receive -- which is a poly blend (65% polyester and 35% rayon). They are kind of scratchy feeling, not very soft, and not very breathable. With this being said, they are good looking and wearable for many body types.[---Fit---]They fit slightly large around the waist, so if possible, size down only 1 around the waist. If you have bigger legs, then order your normal size. The fit of these are classic and are average around the thighs. They are slimmer than a typical regular fit so I would say a 'slim' classic. However, there is a problem with the crotch length. Honestly, I don't know the reason for the trend of short crotches, however these ride high and can only be worn when they are sitting around your hips (not under your belly button). Even sitting on my hips, they are still a bit tight for the 'personals'. Take this into account. These are labeled as stretch, however they don't stretch 'much'. They do, just don't expect the same stretch as say, your ubiquitous stretch jeans.[---Look---]More business casual than dressy. It is a mix of dark blue and dark-light blue (sort of a dark seersucker) and is matte finished. Great with black shoes or dark brown.-----------------------A decent pair of mid-range quality business casual pants that fits those with a few extra pounds down to the slender folks. A bit expensive at regular price for what you get, however a comfortable pair of pants when gotten on sale.

Im an airline pilot, other pants would leave my family jewels feeling robbed after an 8 hour day of flying. Id also have to do pre-flight checks, get under the wings and look at the tires and bend down, lift things etc. These pants are my dream come true. Make my job easier.

Great fir
The pants fit true to size. They seem well made and have had no issues being washed. The no wrinkle fabric doesn’t need ironing if you hang them up right after drying. I like them because the leg opening is a little smaller than some other brands that leave you with super baggy pants if you are a big guy. These are not baggy. The only thing to note is the waist is not truly stretch. There is some give but it does not expand like Hagar and some of the other brands.

Nice and true to size but no flex waist
Purchased for my boyfriend. He’s in between pant sizes (weight has been fluctuating) and thought to order the smaller just because this was a flex fit. Mistake! Had to return and size up. So I’m guessing this is true to size; I would not recommend sizing down. My boyfriend also said he felt no flex in the waist band. The quality of the fabric feels soft and looks like a very nice black (doesn’t seem like it will fade easily after a wash). My boyfriend has athletic, thick legs, and although the fabric does have a little give, he said its snug in the thighs and calves. Don’t think it’s a straight leg trouser and may have been something I missed in the description. Overall very happyWith the product after receiving the correct size.

Great pair of pants!
These are great quality dress pants. Do you know the feeling when nice attire makes you feel both comfortable and confident? This is exactly the case with these Van Heusen Flex straight fit flat front pants. I wore them to work today and kept catching myself thinking about how pleasant the fabric is to the touch and how well the pants fit me.I find the ash navy color to be subtly attractive. I noticed however, that the Amazon picture of the color and fabric pattern does not represent the product very accurately. The pant fabric is very soft but resists wrinkles well, although I had to iron them first since they got a little bit wrinkled in shipping. Inside the waistband, you will find what Van Heusen calls a "shirt gripper". I absolutely appreciate this feature, since nothing can ruin your sharp look more than an untucked shirt, especially if you don't notice it.The seams looks well sewn solid and straight. The fly front zipper is smooth and stays zipped. The waistband boasts both a hook and a button. The 38" waist size is slightly loose on me. Waist size 36 fits perfectly and I don't notice these pants being tight due to a slight stretch of the fabric.Overall, I really like this particular "model" and I will most likely be buying another pair in a different color.

Not as described. These are cotton.
This was described as a Van Heusen pair of pants made of synthetic fibres. Instead, I received a pair of pants from one of their sub-brands called Izod made out of cotton. If I you want to wear a fabric that doesn't breath, retains moisture, and fades, then these might be okay with you. Unfortunately, they're not what I ordered.

Perfect IT guy pants
In my job spend time under desks, in & out the car, climbing up connecting things in racks etc. All opportune times for normal dress pants to rip open it seems. These flex pants are beyond the best thing I have found that suit the need to look professional but also climbing and moving around at times.I found size ran a bit small around waist - a 38 is same as some other 36 pants I own - the waist doesn’t have as much stretch in it as would hope so it still feels tight there.

Good all around
Very nice fit and color and feel only thing defective is zipper sticks half way down some times.Didn't return to be partially fair to keep cost down. Can manage and ordered new pair 32'' better size for average 6' man. These are true to size.

The price
Nearly doubled after I bought my first pair of these pants. They are not "wrinkle free" or "permanent press" and have to be ironed with a low heat iron. They are comfortable, light fabric so I don't overheat.had the price not doubled, I would buy them again.
