Prince Charming [2001] [DVD]

I love Christina Applegate & will watch anything she's in , I came across this film & loved it.. very silly & enjoyable. Sean Maguire was a surprise as he plays a medieval Prince to perfection & his transformation to a more well rounded modern man was very believable. I'm not a fan of Martin Short's over the top acting BUT in this film he hits the right note of a more restrained hyperactivity.. Will definitely watch again on a cold wet afternoon as i know it will be perfect viewing when you need cheering up.

Great entertainment hitting both adult and kid themes without spoiling each other.

I enjoyed the beginning and the middle of this movie, it was very nice. It is a bit odd at the end though that they do not get back to their time, but it has a good energy and is well made. The dvd version I have is a bit down market though as it has no extras, no languages other than English, in fact all the options it gives is "Play movie", that is it. No images on the cover neither except the frog, and the dvd is white. Low budget film maybe? Don't know, but the story is nice.

We sat and watched it, I was disappointed because it wasn't like the story I remember as a child, it was ok and we will watch it again

This version will probably appeal strongest to young adult viewers.In this one, we get the prequel: The prince, wayward on his ride to his bride-to-be, is cursed to remain a frog until someone kisses him. Then has to find true love until the full moon, or he is back in amphibian shape.Together with his inept court magician and servant Martin Short - who steals the show, as usual - the prince finds himself in twentieth century Manhattan, his old kingdom gone, a coach girl his only contemporary confidante.The way the story takes its twists and turns is fun to watch, but don't expect any major highlights.

Bad acting and very silly altogether.

My mom loved it but I didnt think it was that great. This is probably the reason i had never heard of it before! It was super cheesy and the acting wasn't awesome but hey, if you have nothing else to watch then its a way to pass the time!

It's funny and romantic. I watch it over and over. It's hard to find.

Ich habe den Film zuvor im TV gesehen und war so begeistert davon, dass ich mir nun hier das Video bestellt habe. Wer Märchen mag, der wird diesen Film lieben! Es ist einfach eine wundervolle Neuverfilmung des klassischen Märchens vom Froschkönig in der heutigen Neuzeit. Die Atmosphäre ist der Wahnsinn, die Wahl der Drehorte perfekt, und der Charm der Schauspieler verfeinert das ganze! Zusätzlich mit viel Humor und einer tiefgründigen Romanze ist der Film einfach überaus unterhaltsam und ein Muss für alle, die auch gerne mit Fantasy in Berührung kommen! Aber ich denke, der Film ist nicht nur etwas für Fans von Fantasy, sondern auch für jeden, der gerne mal etwas Humor in einem Film liebt oder gerne Liebesromanzen anschaut!Ich kann den Film "ein Kuss mit Folgen" nur empfehlen!

Dieser Film eignet für ganze Familie. Das hat ausreichend Witz, angenehme Unterhaltung und Action. Man kann diesen Spielfilm mehr Mals im Jahr gucken.

Sweet Romantic Movie, Great quality picture, Great quality sound, Fantastic actors, fantastic storyline, its not the normal romantic mush, it actually has a really good storyline to it, the scenery is beautiful, and the cgi isn't bad
