You could not put a plant there was no drainage

I would recommend the variety that you just turn on the switch ...
It has to be totally dark before you can even see the pots light. The remote must be held at the same level as the pot and very close or it doesn't come on. I had a vision of turning the pot on from my front door with the remote! NO WAY!. Because I DID NOT get up when it was pitch black I could not tell if the pot was on or off so ran through a whole bunch of batteries.I would recommend the variety that you just turn on the switch at the bottom. Much less trouble!

Clear direction needed.
It was not easy to put the ring with the battery's in, directions should inform you there is a cut out are where to the tabs that are on this ring. The use of the loose tab does help to make it go counter clock wise. Also there is a CLEAR plastic insert in the remote for the lights. Either color it or let it known that it needs to be removed in order to make it work.

EBay was smart enough to show the items with a ruler next ...
The product description included dimensions of 22 inches by 11 inches. There was nothing about the pots that ev n came close to being 22 inches even if you stacked the pots on top of each other. EBay was smart enough to show the items with a ruler next to them so you could clearly see their size. The product description for this item was misleading ...even false.

I put the pots on my covered patio and due to the humidity (I guess) the remote no longer functions at all on one and not at all on another. Even when they worked they were not attractive.

Its a great concept, but water doesn't drain out
Its a great concept, but water doesn't drain out, so the pots are constantly growing mold/algae inside the pot, which show through and looks ugly... I gave up trying to grow live plants in them... Cleaned them up and brought them inside where I used them with artificial plants
