Tigner, you have done it again. Ever wished you didn’t have to get old? Be careful . . .
I have to be honest. There are some authors whose books I pre-order upon availability, Nancy Herkness, Melinda Leigh, Kendra Elliot, and Tim Tigner are among them. With respect to other authors, I read what the book is about and read reviews from other readers. I then decide if I want to spend my money on the book? When I started reading “The Price of Time” I had not read anything to tell me what it is about, after all, I thought I knew. From now on, I will read what even those authors’ books are about so I am not surprised. I was 2/3 through the book before I pulled it up on Amazon and read the “blurb” about it. Until that point, I kept expecting Kyle Achilles to show up and save the day. Guess what, this book is not about Achilles. Imagine my shock. Now for my review of the book. What a novel (pun intended) concept for a book, a literal fountain of youth. I love a book that is about a new and unique idea. I was impressed that, while this book provides eight people with perpetual youth, it shows that immortality is not all it’s cracked up to be. I’m impressed, Tigner, that you showed that side of something for which people often wish. Is it at this point that I should say be careful what you wish for?And then, the immortals begin to die. While at age 60 they still look 30, they can still fall victim to disease, accident, and murder. However, they are the only eight people who know about the injections, who would kill them and why?Once they decide to go down the road of forever young, they realize that while everyone they know will age normally they will never look any older than they do at the present moment. So what to do? Their solution brings a former CIA agent, Zachary Chase, into the picture. Eventually, he is joined by Skylar Fawkes, a replacement for one of the “immortals.”This is definitely a stand-alone book but I would imagine that since Zachary’s and Skylar’s histories, individually and together are in this book it would be wise to read it before the next Chase and Fawkes book hits the shelves (or Kindles).Great, creative idea, two interesting protagonists, and a well written, intriguing, lose sleep type of novel. I highly recommend it.

What if...?
What If... I could give this book review more stars? I’d do it in a New York minute! Because that is the premise of this cautionary tale. This book is a change of pace for Tim Tigner. Instead of a hero trying to prevent random acts of terror or evil conspiracies, it’s a smart thriller that also explores issues of morality and ethics in a world of rapidly developing technologies. The main concept asks the questions: What if you could change your life forever? How far would you go the achieve immortality? The Price of Time revolves around a small group of corporate bigwigs who are keeping a major medical breakthrough to themselves. In a twist of fate, former CIA agent Zachary Chase inadvertently becomes a threat to the group’s secret while investigating the disappearance of his college roommate, Lars.Chase has no idea who is after him or why. All he knows is that thetrouble started after Lars vanished. Using his CIA experience andcontacts and the help of a woman he rescues while retracing Lars’ last known location, Chase closes in on the truth about Lars and his connection to the secret.Chase’s investigation alternates with the actions of the mysterious group to reach their objectives while keeping Chase at bay. What makes this thriller different is that the group is not inherently evil or a danger to society as a whole, but the steps they take to protect their secret are somewhat extreme. The action is full of surprising twists (especially the stunning finale). Again, Tim Tigner gives the reader an amazing thriller that will have you thinking about it days later. He is a true literary master who never disappoints his readers

I wouldn’t say it’s a bad book. But.
For me, the book hasn’t really capture my imagination for a lack of a better explanation. There’s some books I’ve read and I see a movie scene while I read it. This book hasn’t done that for me, so I find myself making myself read to see what’s going on. It just wasn’t for me. I am sure this writer has good books a lot of people enjoy his work. I just found myself struggling to read it idk maybe it’s just me.

...a change of pace from my normal action thriller reads and it is so well done! Worthwhile read!
Book Review - I decided to give Author Tim Tigner a try upon the recommendation from another book reviewer and I am so glad that I did! I absolutely loved The Price of Time! Great action (surprisingly), intriguing dialogue and an original plot, all with some steamy romantic scenes woven in. Note - it is NOT a ‘chick lit’ book by any means! Although it was a change of pace from my normal action thriller reads. It is so well done, I just had to let it be known. It kept me guessing throughout. I love how Tigner developed the characters and he did a great job of balancing their personalities. The “good guys” had some relatable darkness woven in and the “bad guys” were also easy to understand. You could see where everyone was coming from and totally relate to the story. Great read and highly recommended. Check out Author Tim Tigner’s books, you won’t be disappointed!

Good but simple.
Nice story line. Good characters but wish they were more developed before the first ones were killed off. What kept me going is how realistic the chase, the interactions between characters, and the outcome could be in a situation such as this. Made me wonder what would I do if this genetic technology was made possible.

Comparable to a B-movie
I read all of it, but at the end it left me distinctly underwhelmed. There were too many POVs (point of views) to make you care about any of the characters, the plot is predictable with the inevitable fight scene at the end, the characters not overly believable (who keeps on talking normally after just having been doused with hot oil and losing one eye??).The premise of what to do with everlasting life is interesting, but the story quickly rolled down the B-movie slope. Not impressed.

I don't get it!
A company invents a drug that will give immortality and the company's owners decide to keep it for themselves (but sell a place at the table to make them all megarich.)To hide their secret, they need to start new lives about every 20 years. So they start bumping off 'mortals' so they can take their place. So far, so good. Then the book becomes a simple whodunit as the friend of one of those bumped of, Zachary, and a potential target, Skylar, go after the killers. It was quite well written but why all the SciFi build up? Why the immortality angle? None of that was needed. None of i twas used in the story. The band of immortals could just as easily have been a crime cartel and it would have worked just as well. And characters with names like 'Lars Kok'!!! Really???

Can't wait to read the next one.
Well written and involving. Characters were described in such a way for you to visualise them. This would make an excellent film as it has everything needed to appeal to a wide variety of people. The idea that someone would find the serum to extend life and then decide it was for a chosen few - but how could you answer questions as to why you never aged? New identities mean leaving everything behind and you certainly need money to become a 'new person'. I hate spoilers so I am not doing to give lots of details except you need enough time to be able to keep reading as you will not want to put this one down.

Time Alchemy - The Ultimate Goal?
A truly captivating storyline. The premise of the double edged sword of eternal youth tinged with the lengths you would employ to to conceal it from the world set this fascinating beautifully crafted tale head and shoulders above the rest. The lavish visuals conjured by Tim Tigner would make a hell of a film of DaVinci Code epicity. Thoroughly recommendedAlan Bruce
