Easy installation
Original hour meter in digital dash on farm tractor. Only OEM repair was a complete dash...This is a simple installation and is powered by switch on power.... if the key is on, this meter runs...

Great for a new generator
I recently bought a new emergency generator that did not include an hour meter like some of the new ones do. I plugged the hour meter into the 12V outlet and temporarily zip tied it to the frame. After the warranty period of the generator is over I will make a cutout in the plastic facing for a more permanent mount. The hour meter is working fine and will help me keep track of oil changes.

Do not buy this junk
Ordered this as I needed a replacement hour meter. Installed and started working beautifully…that shortly ended after 2.4 hours of run time. The meter broke less than 3 hours of use. Total trash.

Installed on a Craftsman T1000 Riding Mower
I wanted a way to monitor hours of use on my riding mower, so I can figure when I should change oil and the oil filter, as well as the fuel filter.I installed this above the ignition switch, as it is easily viewable, and the switched 12V source is at the switch as well.I used a digital LCD hour meter on a generator in the past, and after a few years, the LCD display no longer worked. So I wanted to use an analog meter instead.
