STM Dux Plus Duo, Ultra-Protective case for Apple iPad 8th/7th Gen - Midnight Blue (stm-222-236JU-03)

Don’t waste your money—buy another brandI purchased this on July 27th but didn’t start using it until OCTOBER 13th. Already, the kickstand won’t stay up! I’m very disappointed with my Dux Duo Plus. I had an STM case for my iPad Air 1 that lasted all this time ( 2016- now)! This is why I went ahead and purchased another STM case for my new IPad 2020 8th generation which this is designed to fit. I hate the place where the pencil is supposed to go. I purchased a pencil but hated it. Now it’s just an empty place that collects dust and dirt. I imagine even with the pencil, the design for this feature would have dirt and dust accumulate in and around the pencil, as well as the slats on each side of where the pencil snaps in. I don’t know why these are even there. They serve no purpose. Last, The case is unstable when the opening flap is all the way back for normal use without the kickstand. It won’t stay straight, goes crooked or slips during use, which is very can be ver inconvenient. Also, this has caused the iPad to fall onto the floor, out of my hands, which is not good for protecting my iPad, which is why you buy a case, right? While STM may have been great for my previous model, quality and durability is extremely poor and I am very disappointed.

Generally, it does what it says. I will say I’m starting to see some stress on the screen flip cover where it rests in the notches on the hard case when in the stand position. The case also doesn’t fit awesomely with a screen protector. Makes the screen protector bubble at the edges. Other than that, it’s sturdy and durable and has protected the iPad from some minor scuff-inducing circumstances so far.

I tried a few different cases and so far this one has been the best. I noticed a previous review claiming this case does not fit a 7th generation, well it does, she obviously didn’t read the instructions to put it on. It’s a tight fit. Love it so far. And the seller was great too. I received my package on time and the price was ok.

Love that this is a cover and a stand. My daughter had one first, so we knew it worked well when we decided to buy mine. Love that there’s a spot for my Apple Pencil too!

This is the only case I use to protect my iPad!!! wonderful protection and light.

Does not fit iPad 7th gen.

Good quality but it was the wrong size.

It’s hard to place it correctly to hold my ipad. I would like to return it.

I bought two of these for my kids iPads and they have been excellent. They look more grown up than the big rubbery ones they replaced but still provide good protection and are highly functional. The kids love them and they have withstood the pounding they get very well so far.

Overall a fabulous case, as it should be for almost $100 CAD. After 3 months, the back started tearing off at the seam and by 6 months it is in 2 pieces being held together by tape. Not exactly what you expect from a high end case. Needless to say, we will go back to Otterbox since we can find no way to contact the manufacturer for replacement.

I’ve had the same casing and it’s black colour but When I purchased and open the box for a new colour which is the blue one, it seems like it was used already and they just put back on the plastic.Compare to my old one that I didn’t took out the plastic protector yet for the scratches protector.
