I don't often take (have) time to write reviews, but TeaLAB deserves a shout out for sure. I received quality design and construction with the feel one would expect from a friendly home town business.The 30 gallon brewer kit I got left me with one overall impression: Thoughtful. Obvious thought went into selecting quality components where they mattered functionally. Much thought also went into including the necessary ingredients to allow someone without access to compost products with beneficial biology to brew a biologically complete tea. The directions, while concise, are more than adequate and any questions can likely be answered by visiting their website.One thing which impressed me - a simple thing which just changed the whole feel of the transaction - was taking the time to write a personal thank you note on my packing slip. It turned it from a big box transaction on a large, impersonal site into something which felt more like doing business at a small local farm store. Nice touch!An example of the thoughtfulness which went into the construction: The brass gate valve is exactly what I would have chosen, but I likely would have missed the fact that durable plastic with soft gaskets was a far better choice for binding to the plastic barrel. Being older, I often suffer from the impression that all plastic is "cheap", but that is not the case anymore. The plastic components, where functionally indicated, are of really good quality.I am impressed already and I haven't even used it yet, but I am about to remedy that. First, I will check the inputs under a scope. Something is always lost when using non-local ingredients to inoculate the biology, but I am in a situation where my homestead garden needs help today, not a couple of months from now. I fully expect this to be an exceptional tea base to jump start me in the short term and will only be improved in the future by the addition of local biology.Thank you TeaLAB. Excellent system – everything you need to up and running quickly with quality products sources from USA! Luke has helpful videos posted end-to-end process including set-up, brewing, and clean-up – which is a breeze.
