How to Read the Old Testament (The Crossroad Adult Christian Formation) Paperback – October 25, 1982

This is a brief but PACKED volume that brings the reader through the Old Testament. Full of scholarship, drawings, illustrations, and outlines, this is a great way to start some serious study. If there was any criticism, it might be that there is so much information on each page that the reading is slow and the reader also might miss some valuable details. We used it for an adult study and everyone learned something new each week.

This is an excellent book! It’s great for people interested in bible history or bible study. A book both novice and scholar could appreciate.

Might be one of the best books on how to read the bible, thought comissioned by Catholic athorities, very well done and more than useful by any bible student 10th grade through seminary students.

This Book had a lot of highlighting but was still in good shape and was shipped and recieved as stated.

An excellent book for studying Sacred Scripture from a Catholic viewpoint. I highly recommend it.

This is a soft cover apparently translated from French I think text book. Good information. However, whether it's just me or the book, I can only go a short way through it at any one time and then come back to it later. Still working my way through it. Good info in it, though.

The media could not be loaded.  Great and very informative book, which is a great form of resource that’s helping my wife through her course at the moment whilst being a school teacher.Book is light weight and easy to carry to the church hall. Pages feel good to the touch I guess, no paper cuts so far hahahaha!!

This is a great book in understanding the Old Testament. It is great for preachers, scholars and for those who just want to know more about the scriptures and what they mean. Great resource.

I really like this book as it's given me a better understanding of how to read the Old Testament in the bible.

As with the NT version will be using this as good reference for the rest of my theology studies - which will go on forever no doubt

This is clearly laid out and well explained with everyday examples of what is suggested and a variety of options as to how to approach the topic. It is an aid to as much or little study as the individual feels appropriate for them. The page layout contains graphics, tables, etc regularly so it isn't a difficult or off-putting read.
