Spektrum Smart ESC Programming Update Box: Avian and Firma, SPMXCA200, Black

Honestly I don't know why this is so poorly reviewed, I personally love using this.If I keep it in my RC gear bag, I can change most ESC settings on the fly without needing to plug the ESC into my computer.And if you are back at home, you can use this as an ESC link to tune more advanced parameters for the ESC like LVC.If you own a lot of Spektrum ESC's, this is a no-brainer to pick up!

Great product but If you buy this you’ll probably need a computer/laptop to update it before you can use it so be aware but besides that it awesome

Hard to figure out unless tech savvy but worked great for newest update for the spectrum v6 150a esc

Worked perfectly for arma kraton 6s but not for the felony. Said it needed update but doesn't provide where to get one

Have you ever tried to program the parameters of a Firma ESC through the transmitter? It feel like trying to learn Morse Code on a busy battlefield. I'm sure it's manageable, once you have some practice and experience doing it. OR, you can skip all that and just buy this programming box. Nothing could be easier than using this device. Easy to connect, easy and intuitive to use. 10/10 would recommend!

So I was on the fence with upgrading to a brushless 2in1 ESC combo for my crawler. I was looking at Hobbywing (programmer is provided) or Spektrum (which all my rigs run today). The programmer comes with a USB-USB-C cable to update firmware from a Windows PC. I needed to do this immediately with mine, it would program but some options were not present.Firmware update on programmer took about 10 minutes - I plugged the programmer into the programming port on my ESC power button and pressed the button to connect after the ESC was powered up. I had the ESC menu next to me so programming was a breeze, I bring this to the field and have changed a few settings based on conditions. So easy to use - it's a buy it, use it a couple times, then store until next time. I'm going to rent mine to my buddies, lol!

This programmer makes tuning some Spektrum ESCs a cinch. Most likely you'll have to download an app to update the firmware on this unit. Once that is done, the tuning process is FAST and SIMPLE. No more pressing buttons 50 times and wondering if you did it correctly (although that works if you have the patience). This programming unit works like other cards, but it has more options for the smart ESCs. I used this for the ARRMA vehicles, but it can be used for aircraft also, depending on your ESC. A nifty product although a little overpriced IMO. Be aware it most likely will NOT program out of the box UNTIL it is updated via the app, FYI.
