Buy it! Critical role fan or not!
I love critical role and when I heard this was coming out I knew I had to get it. It did not dissapoint. This isn't just for those who have watched critical role, it's not a book 'about' it, it's a book thar gives you a chance to explore and create in the world that was made through Matt. There's a lot of info but Matt himself says 'it's your world now' and makes it clear you can interpret/use things however you want. I love the Heroic Chronicle - it's a simple way to create a backstory for characters that you can flesh out as you please.Includes wildemount specific monsters and NPCs you can include as well as a couple of new backgrounds etc.I'm currently running one of the modules and even as a relatively new DM I'm thoroughly enjoying it.Artwork is stunning and it includes a really nice A3 map. My only issue is that the map is tear out and I did rip it a tiny bit - but I mean tiny.

Well worth it and map is removable!
Incredible book, lovely details and lots of information for lore and world building, I have a strong feeling all the people complaining about the map didn’t realise there’s a very fine dotted line on it that you can fold along and tear out the map, it’s hard to spot but it’s definitely removable

Great
This is a great guide, with enough lore to enrich the experience, whilst still leaving lots of room for DMs to improvise or alter to make their own stories. Matt Mercer has created a vivid and varied world and it’s amazing to get the chance to play in it. Beautiful artwork.

Masterpiece, has map too!
Even if you just want something to read this book is great. I'm a fan of Critical Role, who isn't who likes d&d right? Anyhow immediately upon starting to read this my creative juices were flowing like the Nile! Packed with everything you need to start dreaming up your own campaigns and even has some adventures you could easily use as a starting point. Info on the war that is raging and how to include it on different levels or not at all. New monsters, racial tweaks and backgrounds, classes and... Backgrounds.. Lol thoroughly enjoying this product and would recommend. The map BTW is huge and fantastic

Great for all.
Great starting guide for starting a first time dnd campaign also great pieces of artwork. Extra bonus if a critical role fan gives some insider detail from the campaign that they are running.

Fantastic
For all DMs tired of the Forgotten Realms, this is just great, even if you don't watch Critical Role. Many locations, lots of lore, new wizard subclasses with some great spells, interesting monsters...The best new feauture by far is the Heroic Chronicle, which quickly helps players and DMs craft a rich character backstory and is such a great system I think it should be added in all future D&D books.

The map. They did it again!
The last critical role book came with a pull out map of taldorei that a lot of people said was stuck in the book so they couldn't get it out without damaging it.Well guess what... This would have been a 5 star review but for one thing: They did it again. I can't get to my wildemount map without damaging the book. why would they do that?Book contents - great. Book binding - not so much

Great buy for dnd
This book is an excellent addition to growning dnd book collection. There are some great subclass additions, I especially like the Hollow One subclass. Great art work and lots of background for making some great adventures... worth my hard earned pennies ( or dollars or euros...) what ever you earn lol
