The Ultimate Lost and Philosophy: Think Together, Die Alone

This book is great to cover philosophy and common theories/themes of philosophy is relation to Lost's characters and plot. I imagined it would dissect various important scenes in the show and provide behind-the-scenes insights, but it hardly covers much of the plot. Tons of philosophy stuff.

I've read other books from this pop culture series and have always highly enjoyed them. Call me crazy, but I love the idea of dragging out what intellectualism possible from random books and tv shows. "Lost", however, seems to have plenty of fodder, being a most brilliant show in and of itself. I found this to be quite the varied collection of views and opinions, providing even contradicting ideas on the same topic when exploring even different concepts--made it the more interesting read for me. While there were some concepts I felt the show had screaming to be explored that were ignored while several of the same concepts were repeated, this is still a marvelous and thought-provoking read that adds dimension to a great show.

Book wasn't in as good a condition as I expected - fluid stains on page edges etc - but I'm not likely to find it elsewhere easily, and it is readable. Quick post, much appreciated.

Love insight in this book

No matter how you analyze this series and try to answer every question, you can't. The purpose of LOST was to entertain and to make you think, and it accomplished it's mission. This book is another person's take on that.

I was kinda disappointed ... I don't know what I was expecting exactly, but this wasn't it. Never finished it.

A really challenging read - have to keep re-reading sections to take them in. Love LOST. Love the philosophical debates behind the programme so this is the perfect read for me during lockdown! Great stuff!

If you are a fan of LOST, you must read this book.Although it is absolutely not necessary to have any philosophical knowledge to understand this book (all the references are explained very clearly in the book, sometimes it is oversimplifying the concepts though, which is a bit unpleasant if you are attached to philophical rigor and precision), I think you will better appreciate this book if you are already a bit familiar with common philosophical references.

Great thought provoking book if you like Lost and philosophy

The book is strikingly engaging. A highly recommended reading for every philosopher who is also a LOST fan. Think together, die alone.

Une belle initiative qui, au travers de ce monument qu'est devenu "Lost", traite de nombreux sujets philosophiques, car cette série s'y prête particulièrement. Ecrit dans un style simple, "Ultimate Lost" est une étude précise qui met en valeur les différents thèmes que les auteurs ont privilégié durant les 5 saisons- amour, mort, amitié, violence, société, etc. Au final, une belle réussite que même les non "Lostiens" liront avec profit.
