Thought I'd try them so I could use a balanced cable from pre-amp to monoblocks that have only single-ended inputs. I suppose in theory it shouldn't make a difference, but I was immediately amazed at the improvement in air and soundstage depth. Comparison was to a single-ended cable of same quality and materials from the same manufacturer, so it seemed a fair comparison. It could be that my pre-amp has better circuitry to the balanced vs the unbalanced outputs. I don't need to know--the improvement in sound was crazy compared the price of entry. Cardas puts thought and integrity into their products, and this is yet another example. Never mind the engineering theories--try them for yourself if you have a cabling option like I do.
