Selle Italia - SLR Flow Saddle (Black)

Great saddle,very reasonable price!

Saddles are a very personal purchase in so far as the seat has to fit you perfect or you will endure pain for miles to come. The same saddle may fit you, but not the next person even if they are approximately the same size and weight. Similarly, you can spend a lot of money on a saddle to shed weight or add stiffness, but it may not feel any better than a less expensive saddle. I have a top-end Fizik saddle on one of my road bikes and a top-end Specialized saddle on another. I just put this Selle Italia saddle onto my old Trek Madone. It is well made, looks good, cost about half what my Fizik cost and weighs a little more. But if feels a LOT better after 50 miles. And unless you are racing all the time, that kind of comfort is what counts. So measure your sit bones and roll the dice. If the seat fits, wear it.

I needed a different saddle for my new StageBikes SC3 as the OEM seat caused saddle pain on long rides. The pandemic keeps me indoors most of the time now and the spin bike has been a welcomed activity. The OEM seat started to hurt bad if my workout was longer than 90 minutes. The Selle Italia - SLR Flow Saddle provides instant relief even though it appears less cushioned. I used my more expensive road bike Fizik saddle while waiting on the delivery of the Selle and it wasn't as comfortable. Since it is for an indoor bike weight wasn't a priority but the seat is lite enough for a road bike. If I ever need one for my Trek I would consider Selle again.

I've ridden SLR saddles for years, but never one with a cut-out so wasn't sure how I'd like it. I can say, for me, it's as comfortable as any SLR I've had. 4-5 hour rides, no problems.Great Selle quality as always, and lightweight for the price point.
