Great Product, Hands Down
I have been using this product for quite some time. I actually purchased the cream because they had run out of the liquid, and that was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. The cream is so much more effective. I even purchased it for a friend and they said that it cleared up many of their in-grown hairs. I used to use the liquid, which came in a 4 oz. bottle, but so much of it was wasted on the cotton balls. One bottle would only last me about two months. The liquid contained a lot of alcohol, which was used as a delivery system, and it did dry out my skin. The cream does not dry out your skin, and if anything, it slightly moisturizes it. I always apply the cream after I have shaved and washed the area, and it has worked wonderfully.I don't often use a razor, only on special occasions, and rely on my hair clippers most of the time. Sometimes I use a razor, lightly, after the clippers in order to clean up some spots, but I don't shave my entire face or head with a razor on a regular basis. For that matter, there are very few people who can use a razor regularly, without consequential razor bumps, no matter what product they use afterwards. Most of us are just not lucky enough to be able to use a razor regularly without consequences, so to say that this product doesn't work is inaccurate. Every product has limitations and only something very expensive would be able to deal with the plight that most people of color experience while shaving. This product has kept my skin relatively smooth, for someone who uses his clippers every 3 or 4 days, and helps to minimize or get rid of razor bumps. Every now and then I will get bumps, but the cream is very helpful in getting rid of or minimizing them. The product stings a tiny bit but nothing significant, and definitely nothing that would deter me from using this product. Its more of a "good" burn, where you know it is actually doing something. I can only imagine how many bumps I would have had, had I not been using this product. For those who are curious, here is a list of the ingredients:Distilled waterPropylene glycolMineral oilAcetylsalicylic acidGlyceryl stearatePEG 100 stearateSorbitan stearateEmulsifying wax NFCetereth 20PetrolatumMyristyl myristateDimethiconeTea tree oilVitamin EVitamin ADL panthenolMethylparabenDioazolidinyl ureaPropylparabenHydroxyethyl celluloseAllantoinFragranceThe only alcohol here is DL Panthenol which is actually used as a moisturizer and treating sunburn or tattoos. So whoever wrote the review about alcohol in the cream drying out their skin was obviously mistaken or had the wrong product. I will never use the liquid again but I LOVE the cream. THIS PRODUCT SHOULD NOT BE USED BY ANYONE WHO HAS AN ASPIRIN ALLERGY (acetylsalicylic acid). My main reason for writing this review is that I was about to reorder and saw some of the erroneous reviews written by other users. BTW, this jar has lasted me over a year. I don't think that you can actually get the extra strength cream on here, but the regular strength cream is doing the job. Just stay away from the liquid. Hope that helps clear up some confusion.

It's OKAY... Not Revolutionary
This is okay, but it's not great. After shaving, and then using this, horrible razor bumps/in-grown hair (as normal); it is somewhat reduced after maybe 1-2 days, but never FULLY clears & still is a little painful. I thought i'd continue buying/using this, but I will not. It does not leave a greasy feeling, on the neck, and it does not burn when applying. BUT, for the scent... I hate it. The scent is listed as mild, but, I wouldn't say that. It kind of smells like ketchup, to me (pretty strong vinegar & witch hazel scent, which i hate both). And I smell it for a few minutes after applying.I also have found my neck hair grows MUCH faster when using this. I normally go almost 2 weeks, before I need to shave again, but using this, 4-5 days later I look like I pretty soon need to.So, basically, I guess would suggest it as it does sorta help, but would say don't expect it to make you look super smooth, and completely remove the bumps/in-grown hair. And if you hate the smell of vinegar, just be prepared for it to last for a few minutes.(oh, I saw some reviews saying not to order it when hot outside... I had it delivered in Florida, during the summer, on a 102F day, and it was fine for me)

I recommend this product with the following reservations
My skin is extremely sensitive and due to a medication I was prescribed (the doctor, a cancer medical specialist, failed to warn me of one, particularly embarrassing and well-known side effect in female breast cancer survivors -- hirsutism (or male-pattern hair growth in women). I recommend this product with the following reservations, some burning sensation that goes away, in my case, after less that one minute, and based not on the product, but on my need for an ingrown hair and razor bump cream for abnormally sensitive skin. Read on only if your profile matches mine, and you would like more information. My facial hair growth is such that I could easily have a thriving second career at 62 as a bearded lady in a circus (just trying to make light of a condition that is very embarrassing, and I do not consider myself vain; however, but all women draw the line somewhere. In order to avoid an actual beard, after much experimentation, shaving proved to be the only and coincidentally also the most economic solution: my facial skin is so sensitive just touching tweezers to my brow with mild pressure causes bleeding. (Although irrelevant in my case, acne has never been a problem for me, even during adolescence and menopause). In addition, my facial hair is so coarse and abundant that even if I remove thehair growth -- by any means -- (home and/or professional waxing, threading, shaving, all brands of hair removal creams, etc.) in the morning, I have a "5'o'clock shadow" the same day. I am not vain. I have never even worn make-up, with the exception of a little brow pencil to cover sparse eyebrows, a result of aging (I am now 62). My lifelong grooming consists of average cleanliness: daily showering or bathing, teeth brushing in the morning and evening (and after meals, if possible), etc. The three cancer specialists by whom I was treated for early stage breast cancer (he superb woman surgeon; the execrable (male) radiologist; and the above medical cancer specialist, responsible for prescribing any medications required for high-risk breast cancer survivors, based on case history of maternal (and paternal) immediate family members. In short, I now have to shave twice a day to avoid a goatee, if not longer beard-- and the prescribed drug, Taxmoxifen, only increases my chances of survival minimally (as the cancer medical specialist confirmed to me (after the instantaneous hair growth, I carried out extensive Internet research) at our second visit in which he never even sat down, just heard my complaint and over his shoulder as he was exiting the patient's visiting room stated the following: "Well, if you don't like the drug, don't take it, it only increase your chances of survival by three to seven percent, statistically." If he had told me that information at our initial visit, I would have taken my chances, despite the odds. Usually, I come prepared with a list of typed questions, but I was under considerable stress for a number of personal reasons and failed to do so when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. This product does seem to reduce the redness, razor bumps, ingrown hairs, etc., and I recommend it to anyone with sensitive skin. If your own skin is average or not at all sensitive, there may be other products that migtwork better for you.
