Once you get to know it this is awesome. It burns clean and doesn't take much to boil. Quite lightweight to would easy fit in back pack. Well worth the money if the power goes off as well! Will fit enough water for 2 decent cups of tea or coffee

Fire wise, you will need super dry tinder.I use a knife and a Magnesium fire stick. Cotton wool catches the sparks and instantaneously catches fire. Pop your wood, twigs, fur combs etc in with the kettle put on the base. You can use the chemical blocks as they also work quickly. Take plenty of water and enjoy it. Does exactly what it says on the tin.

Bought this Ghillie kettle fo trips into the woods, it's a perfect size for one person making a brew or boiling up enough water to rehydrat a meal.Superb build quality witn no weak points at the rolled seams and good quality fasteners to the chainThis is a ver efficient kettle, boiling half a little of water in under 4 minutes

I have various other stoves for wild camping and fishing, always wanted one of these and was gifted one for Christmas.Only used once so far but was very impressed at how quickly it boiled water.It was lightly raining when I used it but this didn't seem to matter.I got the fire going for a couple of minutes in the base, next time I'll put the kettle on as soon as it starts burning as this starts the rocket stove effect which really gets it going and kicks some serious flame out the top.I got the cookset and pot stand separately and they seem well made and nice and light so I'm looking forward to trying these too.There may be lighter camping setups using gas or alcohol stoves but if you're confident you can find fuel to run the kettle on then it becomes a lot more competitive in that respect.I'm definitely going to try this on some wild camping trips, and will consider using it for longer trips if I can work out how to pack it as its about the size if a 2 litre bottle.So far would definitely recommend, love it !
