The cup comes in a bit smaller than I thought but it does hold 100ml of water. It looks good but it does not hold heat well. I have a lot of gaiwan cups over the years and use them to brew tea (with loose tea leaves). This cup does not hold heat very well. Lids on these cups do not match 100% with the cups but with some rotation and tilting the lid a bit I can usually find a spot that the gap between the lid and cup is very small. Not this cup, I fail to find a spot that can close (or keep only a small opening) between the lid and the cup. It can keep warm for a few minutes and I end up keep on microwaving it every once a while.

The edges of the lid and cup weren't glazed and were rough and uneven. Poor quality.

For the $12 or whatever I spent on this, I wasn't expecting masterwork porcelain. What I probably had expected was a slightly larger gaiwan and cups.This is a very small set. The cups are about 1 oz and the gaiwan is probably not quite large enough to fill all 4 that are supposed to come in the set (mine only had 3, but that's 1 more than I actually needed anyway)The lid doesn't seat very nicely, and the ceramic stays hot a little bit too long, but again, it's a very inexpensive set. I think it's a good value if you just want to try out this style of preparation and you don't need to impress anyone.If you spent more than 25 bucks on this, it's a bit of a rip off. As it stands, if you just want to have this service style available to you and you're not going to use it very often, it's not a bad way to spend your money.

El gaiwan es hermoso!! Solo que cuando hice la compra en la descripción dice que viene con cuencos y pensé que estaba muy bien, a lo mejor enviaban un cuenco o algo pero no, solo viene el gaiwan. Así que si piensan comprar este artculo no vienen los cuencos.

A nice, sturdy little gaiwan tea set. A size better for children, but durable porcelain. If you want a full size cup, this isn’t it. But I love it. Wonderful for display and great for a tea tasting if you want to brew a smaller amount to get a taste for new teas.

This gaiwan is great for the price, and very easy to practice with. Be mindful that the size is small when compared to authentic teaware. Attached is a photo comparison between this white gaiwan and an authentic Jingdezhen piece from Golden Life Tea. Because the size is smaller, it is excellent to practice tea with younger kids. Just be mindful not to use hot water. The teaware is very rough on the bottom, and it cannot be used with wooden tea tables unless a coaster is placed underneath. Without a coaster, this tea set can potentially scratch the majority of natural kitchen surfaces. All in all, great for the price.

Very small, haven't measured the capacity of cups or gaiwan yet but they seem toy like.Gaiwan volume is about 75 ml.
