Great, and simple to use.
It's terrific. Easy to use, and I'm quickly getting used to using as much pressure on the keys as on a manual typewriter. Still, it's a simple adjustment, and I like the fact that it gives me the opportunity to be sure my fingers are placed correctly before actually typing a letter. I can see using this braillewriter for decades. It's well built, and heavier than I thought it would be. I'm happy about that, it means that the cat cannot knock it off the table. The only thing I had an issue with was the shipping. I was charged $52.85, and it was shipped "Free Matter For The Blind" in a well used box. For those who are not blind, it means that it cost nothing to send it through the US Postal Service. Now, I'm not sure, but I don't think there was $52.85 in well used bubble wrap and a couple of feet of packing tape. The invoice packed inside showed a $0.00 charge for shipping from the refurbishing location to me. Perhaps the charge was a taxi ride from there to the post office. Anyway, it's a five star item, but I'm knocking off two stars for the excessive shipping.

It works great and none of the keys have stuck or any ...
So far I have had this brailler for a few days and it works perfectly. I haven't used a Perkins in years, but I needed it to be able to take some notes at home that I can use in the classroom while doing my observation and student teaching in preparation for obtaining my Bachelor's degree.I've used it to type up a few pages of notes so far and haven't had any issues with it at all. It works great and none of the keys have stuck or any of the other common problems you sometimes get with old Perkins braillers. If I begin encountering issues, I will update my review to reflect them, but so far I am quite pleased, and I'd much rather pay half than buying a new one right now as I don't have a lot of cash on hand as a student. This was a good deal and much preferable to being stuck with a slate and stylus.
