Van Gogh Watercolor Paint Set, Plastic Pocketbox, 12-Half Pan Muted Colors Selection

I don’t usually write product reviews, but y’all this palette is absolutely fabulous!!!! 😍 The color choices are unique, and the consistency and quality of the paints are phenomenal!!! Plus, the palette itself is lightweight, has a removable section for extra mixing space, and looks and feels of good quality materials. Even the little travel brush that is included is decent! If I could change one thing about the palette design, I would use the space between the top two colors where they have placed the name, to be indented (like the mixing wells, to hold a sponge or a bit of water.Some of the colors are a bit opaque and a couple seem to granulate slightly, both of which I love! They blend beautifully and lay down with ease.I have A LOT of different watercolor brands (pro and student grade) and palettes, and this little guy is one of my absolute favs!!! 🤩😍Buy this palette!!! You will NOT be disappointed!! 👍🏻

All the colors in this palette go so well together and the quality is really nice. They rewet so easily and they're smooth and vibrant!

Ok, I don't want to be mean but I'm not sure where to begin... I've seen these sets for years now and heard great things, decided to try these out since I love themed palettes. These are supposed to be muted but 7 of the 12 are kind of really vibrant? The darker colors are very transparent or just not pigmented enough. The case is actually hollow at the bottom, so it's not smooth like the lid... I kinda like the brush I guess. I'm actually really disappointed because I wanted to like these and have tried to make it work so many times I can't even think about returning it in it's current state. They're super frustrating to use.I'd skip these and spend a little more on Daniel Smith. If you lean toward themed sets or you're still looking for beginner (and FUN) watercolor, you can try Art Philosophy's.

Great selection of colors, very useful in many paintings - but the brush was missing, hence minus one star on "for traveling" scale.

I bought this set strickly because I wanted the palette. I did choose this selection of colors cause they are nice convinience colors I could use unlike some of the other sets. I did not need the pink though so I didnt open that one and placed a handmade color from Etsy in that spot. That's why I hid the top left corner for the picture since it's unrelated.The finish on the palette is soft and it's a very nice size, this is the smallest palette that I own now and I love it, I'm going to keep the tray seperate from the palette to keep it close to use with all my palettes all the time since those other palettes are huge and not as practical when mixing.As for the paints, they were quite nice, Preactivating the colors with water was nescessary but yeilded nice results. The colors have a nice granulation and cute feathery spread. So that's really nice, means I can actually use them in some contexts since my mission gold paints dont react that way.Overall, between the palette and the paint this is a very nice set that I do recommend. I recommend it a lot actually. Even if you have other sets, you should get this one too.

I have two sets of these Van Gogh paints and if I hadn't already bought another large set of paints from another brand, I might have bought a larger set of these, I like them that much. I think they are just as good as some of the more expensive paints ... and I use them A LOT!
