CORNET 3 VALVE SILVER Bb FLAT PERFECT SOUND QUALITY + CASE & M/P

I restarted my love of Trumpet over a year ago. This little Cornet is my latest purchase. After disassembling and cleaning all tubing and valve bodies (3) of manufacturing residue, then I re-greased the slides and oiled the valves heavily. This is a fun horn to play. You need to give it a punch of breath to start. The volume is a surprise. This little horn is loud! The short bell is responsible.The valves needed to have the pistons and cylinders cleaned and heavily oiled. I oiled the valves from the Top and bottom all the while “exercising” the valve path. The springs are overly strong but the valves do not stick. This is a fun, inexpensive Cornet. This one will be a gift for a young beginner eventually.

Ordered the cornet and the valves didn't work. Otherwise, it looked good and easy to play.

Horn looks nice, valve casings out of round. They must use axle grease for slide lubrication. VERY stiff, takes several cleanings to clear it off the tuning slides. Intonation - as expected, poor. Why do I waste my money on instruments from India? Best advice - shop and find a used American or British made horn. You'll be much, much better off. There is one exception I've had experience with - that's a Besson 1000, student grade cornet, made in India under strict supervision by Besson. shows they can make a nice horn, but only if they're forced to.
