Excellent Technology
This is probably the only solution to stop pump short cycling. It also saves more money compared to traditional installations with large bladder tanks since it only requires a two gallon bladder tank. The most important consideration is determining the correct cut-out pressure. For example, if you select a 40 PSI cut-out, but your pump will only deliver a maximum pressure of 35 PSI, then the valve will not work properly. If your pump will develop a maximum pressure of 45 PSI, then a 40 PSI Cycle Stop Valve would work fine.It will extend the life of your pump as an added bonus by significantly reducing the chance of motor thermal overload.SCADAbob

Best shower times of my life!
CSV - Cycle stop valve. Literally stops the cycling on and off of my pump. You would need this if you want constant pressure, and if you want your pump to cycle on and off a lot lesser than normal. Installation is pretty much simple, if there are leaks just need to add more rounds of teflon tape to the threads. I had 21 rolls on each ends and not have a single drip.

This item did. Nothing to alleviate my problem
This did nothing at all. Installed exactly as instructed but pump cycled just the same. Better to have just hired a pro to fix it right off the bat.

Doesn't work as stated
We have an air over water pressure tank so installing the valve below the bleed-off valves prevented the old-style pitless from seating completely. We installed it below the next section of pipe meaning the cycle stop valve is about 35 feet below the the pitless. We have a brand new 1hp 12gpm (140' @50psi) Red Lion pump which sits 151 feet down. We are barely able to maintain 30psi at the tank not the 50 as the product states. Running two showers at once is not an option and if a toilet flushes while in the shower the water becomes a trickle while the toilet fills. Now we need to have the well opened up again and this valve removed. Wish I could get all my money back (including equipment rental for pump removal). Looking at a backpressure regulator from Plastomatic instead.
