Worked perfectly
I had mixed expectations that this was the part I needed for the diverter to operate. It arrived the next day. I removed the old piece and saw it was worn (also 30 years old). inserted the new part and, voilĂ , good as new. the clip was not included but it was not really required.

There was not a retainer clip in the bag

Missing retainer clip
This "Kit" shipped without the retainer clip. The diverter handle is solid and not plastic like the original. There were other reviews when I ordered this part that said they received the kit without the clip. I was hoping that was a fluke but I guess not. I called Symmons and they're sending out the missing part in three business days.

Was useless to me
I installed this diverter handle at the same time I installed a new diverter cartridge. The handle on this item rotated on the shaft and wouldn't turn the diverter cartridge. I reinstalled the old corroded diverter handle, and the cartridge turned pretty easily.

OEM item fits correctly but is made of plastic and is too expensive for what you get.
