Easy to assemble.
Easy to assemble. Instructions included but didnt use them. 8 bolts with washers. Very easy. Foam packing in the box instead of that cheap busted styrofoam other companies use. Tired of cleaning after unboxing. Overall the table is in good condition. Very pleased.

Definitely Worth th Price!
I purchased this table because I was looking for something that looked good, was sturdy, didn't look cheap, and didn't cost a fortune.I was surprised when it arrived how well it was packaged. I have had other similar things delivered and the boxes and items were damaged, not with this. It was well packaged and actually took some time to get into. It did take a few extra days even with prime due to the size and weight but I didn't mind the extra two days.I read the reviews before I purchased this table, on multiple sites, and saw that many complained of a smell, there was one when I first opened the box but the next day it was gone. If I had to guess it was from the protective foam wrapping it was wrapped in.I decided to stain my table, so it would bring out the wood grain and I think I made the right choice. I used the min wax pre-stain, as was suggested by other reviewers, two coats. The wood soaked it up like a sponge. Then I used one coat of min wax wood stain in Red Mahogany. There are two coats of high gloss polyurethane on every thing but the top, that has three for water resistance and durability. The actual assembly was easy. Its 8 bolts. Because I was on my own it took about ten minutes to assemble. If I had someone to hold the bottom shelf in place it wouldn't have taken so long. This table is well worth the price. You would pay easily triple at any furniture store.I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a sturdy, inexpensive actual wood table that looks great.

Solid coffee table but did arrive damaged
I really like this coffee table. It's very solid and heavy. The table was super easy to put together. It took my husband and I about 5 mins to put together. However, the product arrived broken. The side of the table (the wood that makes the x) was cracked in half. I was pretty disappointed but amazon gave me a small credit and I purchased wood glue to fix it. Also one side of the table didn't line up perfectly with the table top so there are visible gaps on each side (not too noticeable but still annoying to me). I would have replaced this table with a new one that wasnt broken but the return process is a hassle since the table is so heavy and I didn't want to take the chance of the next one coming in damaged as well. I used dark walnut stain for the top with 3 coats of water based semi gloss polyurethane and "extra white" Sherwin William's paint for sides and bottom. I just purchased the console table as well hoping it comes in with no flaws.

Love the table!
Awesome table! Very sturdy and well packaged. Nothing was damaged. Comes in 4 pieces: 2 end pieces, top and bottom shelf. I’m very picky about style of furniture I like also the color of woods.I used Minwax Dark Walnut with Minwax gloss polycrylic on the top and shelf. 3 coats for the top and 2 on the bottom.I used Rustoleum Linen chalk paint on the sides. Sand in between coats. There was a little tannin bleed so I threw a coat of poly in between coats to stop it. I was tempted not to use a topcoat for the sides because the chalk paint looked amazing but I was concerned about durability without it. I used 1 coat of Minwax satin polycrylic on the end pieces.

Good product, quality control needs looking at
The quality of the wood used was top notch. It was easy to assemble. The only drawback was the assembly of the major components of the table at the factory. The main surface table top vertical braces were not aligned correctly when installed, a huge gap existed and the screws were too far away to secure the leg assembly to the table top. I had to remove the screws, place the table leg assembly up against the the upper table top to know where to place and screw down the vertical braces and eliminate the gap at the same time. For me this is not acceptable for the price paid, other consumers with less mechanical skills would have had to return the product.

A good sanding resolved this issue
It was quite the task to stain and finish this coffee table. Although it was "ready to sand," it needed a significant amount of sanding for it to look right. Parts of the wood did not take the stain well initially. I ended up having to use a palm sander to sand the whole table, as there were a few spots with thin layers of oil and/or glue that prevented the stain from sticking. A good sanding resolved this issue. It took much longer to finish than I anticipated. I am ultimately happy with the end result, though. The table is very heavy and sturdy. I anticipate that it will last for many years to come. Overall, I am pleased.

beautiful table for the price!
Amazing deal for a coffee table! Item came shipped well and undamaged. Was a piece of cake to stain and paint. I went with Minwax Polyshade in bombay mahogany for the top and lower shelf and white sides. My husband did swear a lot while assembling this because the holes were not lined up right and it took some rigging on his part but he did make it work. But all that was worth it! This table is solid and study, a very nice piece of furniture for the price. It's a very large coffee table but it looks nice with my Koa floors. I wanted a glass table because that would have looked better with my black leather couch but I have a 3 year old and glass tables and small kids don't mix. Love this table, kid can't break it.
