Honestly I was worried by the reviews saying this device charges a cell phone slowly. However it definitely charges about as fast as my standard charger. It's super easy to install and works perfectly. Perfect for charging my phone on long trips and keeping my GPS working. I'd recommend to anyone.

I find this a better value for my money than a cigarette lighter type device. Installation is a no-brainer as it’s simply plugged into your battery, tender fitting already on my bike.

If you have your motorcycle set up for a battery tender, this is a handy little device to have. It allows you to plug in to the connector that you would normally plug the tender into, and enables you to charge your phone if you need to while you are riding. I had explored the idea of wiring up a 12 volt socket on my handlebars, and then using a car charger to charge my phone, but this eliminated the need for all that. I just keep a charging cord in my motorcycle jacket, along with this device, and I'm good to go. It was brought to my attention that the output voltage stated "12V" on the website page (USB output should be a max of 5V). I read the back of my unit, and it states "Input: 12V - 1.0A / Output 5V - 2.1A". The page incorrectly shows 12V output in at least 3 areas on the Amazon page, but this is apparently incorrect. It appears to function as any standard USB outlet would (a max of 5V) as far as I can tell. Hope this helps.

Very happy with the product so far! Charged a phone on the move and charges really fast!! Gets a little hot but that's normal! Highly recommended for those who have a battery tender cable hooked up to the bike battery and require charging on the move!
