Break out your black because Xasthur is back. Moden psychedelic black metal legend Xasthur's final recordings for Moribund, released as an exclusive MCD with 24 minute playtime! Three life-ruining, catacomb-crawling, grave-robbing epics of psychedelic despair as only main man Malefic can deliver. Like Burzum covering the Cure's jet-black PORNOGRAPHY,- as essential as it gets.

Hypnotic Californian Black metal
This still retains some of the characteristics of early Xasthur before he went acoustic and is a good record to listen to if you if you're in the mood for it...

Aww, WE WANT MORE! But this is great nonetheless.
This was a short but sweet chapter in Xasthur's ongoing legacy of ultra-low-key, ultra-ambient black metal. A mere three songs, this self-titled EP is a worthy addition to anyone's collection, and could even be a good introduction to this one-man band."Doomed by Howling Winds ('05)" was especially creepy; the warbling, almost carnival-like melody towards its ultra-long outro was very memorable. Good minimalist drumming, also.Definitely worth picking up, this one is.The one and only problem: it's only three songs!

Alright
This album is alright but come on only 3 songs thats what doomed it and the production is horrible im sorry but this is not for me.

isolation
This one is definitely Loner Black Metal the real stand out track is the Instrumental the circle style necro riff crawls up your spine into your brain making you focus with new eyes. As well as the Burzum comparison I do feel there is a ambient industrial feel to this artist and some of the riffs do remind me a little of the experimental avant garde type phrasing of Robert Fripp and Sonic Youth . In a nutshell a dynamic album where the contrasting music complements each other.
