All steel.
The balance. My wife touched it today and took it down to my spice rack in the kitchen. She said it’s so sharp. I thought I’ll buy the other 1 and put back where that was. It has a little brother.

Sport car design kitchen knife. Pretty!
Buying it with high expectation, as it is designed by Porsche. Receive it then noticed the box stated MADE IN CHINA.it is a product ofGerman design, Japanese technic, Japanese stainless steel material, China grade A workmanship. To be fair, it is an product of globalization. I have learnt that When ever it is not clearly stated it is Made in Japan or made in Germany, by default it will be 95% MADE IN CHINA. Even it stated: Design in Italy, originated from Germany, it still MADE IN CHINA.If this product is made in Japan or Germany, it could be selling at $200 ++ as Major costs went in to design, marketing & advertising.Lets talk about this knife:Blade about 7 inch, feels a little short, but enough to use. Grip feels comfortable, good balanced. Wonderful and innovative design. Looks very pretty, is like a sport car in knife. The two dimples making you knowing where to grip without even looking at the knife.Blade is very thin, is japanese technic, good for slicing meat and fish and cutting Vege, but not suitable for boning and chopping.Blade edge, very sharp, japanese style 15 degree sharpening. Slicing thin paper right through. But the edge is not evenly sharpen, some portion wider than the other 2 times or more, edge is not even polish finish, it is an characteristic of Made in CHINA product, lack of details and precision.Packaging, very well packed hard wood gift box, an whetstone looking design box.In Summary, good design, pretty knife, a little bit worse workmanship compare to MADE IN JAPAN knives at the same price range, such as Shun, Mac and Global.
