Fisher-Price Rock with Me Bassinet

Let me lead this review by saying we also have the Rock n Play Sleeper which my baby has been sleeping in for a solid two months (through the night I might add!). The problem is because of the cradle shape, she is unable to roll on her side, and she has developed quite the flat head, so I purchased this Rock n Play Bassinet as the thing to help transition her to sleeping flat on her back and being able to roll on her sides more (to help round out that head!).We've had it for a week, and I love it! I do wish the pad was thicker (it's so thin and sits on top of hard plastic) but I have folded up a couple blankets that she sleeps on instead to add some cushion and that seems to be working great and adds extra comfort (these could also go on the bottom, however the pad Velcro's to the bottom piece).It opens up easy (or assembles easy) and closing it back up for storage or transport is also super easy. It is about twice as large as the Rock n Play Sleeper, but I love that extra space as my baby grows because she has almost outgrown the Sleeper anyway!Unlike the sleeper which rocks front to back, the bassinet rocks side to side and there is the option to twist the bottom pieces so it no longer rocks. I just leave it at the rocker setting and it doesn't really rock much even with baby movements at night (on carpet). The sides are completely mesh and you can see through them so there is no risk of suffocation at all. It fits pretty nicely next to the bed (is slightly higher than my mattress so I have to lift my head to see her in the bassinet) but it's not that bad at all.Like some of the other reviewers said, the mirror is oddly annoying and really sticks out inside of the bassinet. But honestly, I bought this for my daughter to SLEEP IN, not check herself out in a mirror (haha I mean that's what playtime is for and having a bouncer, etc) so I took scissors and I CUT the mirror out. Easy peasy and it hasn't even crossed my mind once since I removed it. The toy that comes with it is removable so I removed it and I put it with her other newborn toys because again, she doesn't need a toy around when trying to sleep at night.I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking for a simplistic bassinet that you can take with you on the go!

We purchased this to use with our three week old who we were having trouble getting to sleep at night in her crib and ended up bed sharing which is frowned upon. This saved the day. We have since used this at night, during the day when we watch t.v in the basement, and when traveling.ProsIt is light enough that I can move it room to room but still pretty solid.I love that the sides are mesh so you don't have to worry as much about SIDS. This was a huge selling point for me and why I initially did not use a bassinet.It rocks!It was really easy to put together!It folds up for easy storage and for travel!ConsThe mirror is not removable. Baby has hit her hands on it some times and I wish I could remove it.Since you are not suppose to add anything I wish it came with two mattress pads so it could still be used when one is washing.Overall this product has worked great for us. We don't use it every day or night but when we do it is a lifesaver!

i originally had purchased an expensive bassinet (the halo bassinest) in hopes that i could have my infant sleeping closest to me as possible without actually being in the bed. The idea was great, but the surface was much to hard and i didn't get one night of sleep out of it. I then decided to try this product and i couldn't be more pleased! it's soft enough that baby will sleep in it, but not too soft that it is unsafe. love the mirror on the side because i can look at his face without leaning over the bed or getting up on my elbow if i don't want to (i know, lazy...but rest is precious in the very beginning). also, if needed i can sing to him and gently rock the bassinet at whatever rhythm sooths him. It really is a great product & i think the price is great too. Definitely would buy again, but won't have to because i am keeping this for the next little one :)....O also, it collapses really nicely for storage ( i would keep the box it came in so you can store it after baby outgrows)...& super portable. Very easy to move, if you want the baby to nap in the living room or wherever in the house (so you can get some stuff done and still keep an eye on him).

Overall this bassinet is perfect for our newborn. He didn’t like sleeping in the pack and play so we needed something smaller for him. The bassinet is nice and small and easy to wipe down. I wish the bassinet was a little higher. I’m 5’4 and I really have to bend down to pick him up. We also cut the mirror off since he kept hitting it with his hand and waking himself up.

Bassinets are so expensive, and considering you don’t use them for very long, I didn’t want to spend over $100 on something that would get minimal use. I did my research, read many reviews, and landed on this one. It’s been great! Light weight and portable, easily folds down which is a great feature, and does exactly what I need it to do. The only thing I don’t like is the attached mirror on the inside that can’t be removed. The other attached toy can be removed easily, I’ve just flipped it to the outside.

My baby was 4 weeks early, and I purchased this product from my hospital bed, as I was awaiting my c-section. It arrived by the time we were home from the hospital (love Amazon!). We are very happy with this bassinet. It's very easy to move from room to room, if you need to. We even took it to Grandma's house as it conveniently folded up. It has very nice breathable fabric and a pad that is very simple to wash, as needed. Our daughter has been comfortably sleeping on it for 8 weeks. (We are about to move her to a big crib now.) I highly recommend this bassinet. You do not need to but a more expensive one, as you only use these for a limited time. This is a perfect bassinet for a newborn considering quality, ease of transporting, and price. You don't need anything fancier! Save your money for other baby items you'll need.

Good product but a mattress need to put inside for the baby to sleep.Warning instructions if it is near the leg ot would be better.

The basinet is really cute, and newborn babies sleep cosily in them. It would be good if it came with an extra padding at the bottom though
