Easy to set up .. easy app to understand and operate with multifunction working alongside Alexa for voice operation.

Really impressed, set up was so easy, I’m new to this whole smart bulb concept, so I checked with my broadband provider, my router was only a single band, 2.4 ghz, if you have fibre it’s probably dual band, so you may need to make changes to your router which still looks easy or ask the provider.I followed the instructions and it was completed and paired to Alexa in 5 minutes, delighted with the results, different colours, and being able organise room and groups, so Im able to turn all lights in one room or the whole house with one command, so impressed, -purchased more the next day for different rooms. Be aware they are tall bulbs/lamps if you have limited space. I am new to this but intend to convert all my house to smart bulbs eventually, it’s great security, easy to use, great if you Have your hands full, you can ask Alexa to turn the lights on in the bedroom before you get there, and the colours are great for mood lighting. and you are still able to use manually if the WiFi goes down. You can also use your tablet or phone as a remote. Fab product, really pleased with purchase. I chose not to go with Philips hue as I didn’t want another hub to add to my system. For me right choice.

Compared to the many other smart bulbs I have in my system, this one is definitely the weak link. Always, always reports it has a weak WiFi signal despite being in the room above where the router is situated. Doesn't always respond to routines changing room lighting - has to be manually adjusted via the app. I jsy don't have this problem with any other bulbs.

Works well with an ok app, decent range of colours

This does roughly what I need it to. The colour changing is more of a novelty aspect that I don't use much - I've been using it to turn on and off my bedside light via Google Home. You do need an additional phone app for this, which is *fairly* simple to use. Probably not something someone with no understanding of tech (e.g. much older relatives) would be able to do without help though.There are two minor issues I've had with it:- The device is fairly long, which means it'll stick out quite far from the screw-in point, likely a good 1.5-2.5 inches from where the bulb it's replacing was. This means that, say, lamp shields may be less effective, or it may not fit where you need it to. - There have been occasions where the device seems to disconnect from the Smart Home, and then needs to be reset and set up all over again.

It’s a shame the bulb didn’t last as long as took to set it up in the first place! It just gave up one night after a couple of months and never came back to life.EDIT: Bulb was replaced by vendor after they read the review. Replacement bulb has been fine. Good customer service.

This is a great product BUT if u want to link it with Alexa then to get it to work with Alexa u need to go into the Alexa app and click ‘skills’ then search for Smart Life otherwise the Alexa won’t pick it up... took us ages setting up but worth it when done Can use it without using the Alexa too x
