Avery 12201 Medium-Weight White Marking Tags, 2 3/4 x 1 11/16 (Box of 1000)

These Avery pre-strung tags are the perfect size for the 2.25”x 1.25” labels I print for the items I sell in a little local boutique. They are durable and just exactly what I was looking for. The price is also great. The paper is a good thickness also, it’s like cardstock.

These tags have turned out to be a surprisingly practical purchase. I originally purchased them to organize/label spare keys, but I've found several additional uses as well, such as using them for repair tags, issuing equipment, and even plain ol' To/From gift tags on presents. A very versatile item. The tag size is on the small side, but adequate for most of my uses thus far, and the string is plenty long enough to attach the tag to every item I've wanted thus far. If you need to write more than just a few simple notes on the tag, definitely get a larger size. The tag is thick enough that you can write on both sides of it without affecting the readability (no bleed through).For some reason I was under the impression that the strings were open-ended; i.e. that they were attached securely to the tag itself, but I'd have to tie the ends when attaching the tag to an item. I am very pleased to report that the strings are indeed already closed-ended out-of-the-box, which makes attaching the tags to an item a super simple process (just loop it through). However, that said, the strings are all twisted and rather thin, making it a tad more difficult than it needs to be, and even worse when trying to remove a tag from an item (assuming cutting it off is not an option). No biggie, just an inconvenience.The edges of these particular tags are scalloped, not straight, giving it a fancy look. I would have preferred straight edging; but as you read other reviews, you'll notice a lot of people are using these tags in craft projects because of the scalloped edges. I can live with it; but make no mistake, I use these tags for purely practical purposes.I'm happy I bought these, and will definitely purchase again as the need arises. With 100 tags per pack, though, it should be awhile before that time arrives. And thank you, Amazon, for the Add-On program. I just wanted something quick and inexpensive, and this item was perfect.

I work on automotive vehicles, dune buggies and motorcycles as a hobbyist. When doing extensive tear-downs, I use these tags to label parts so I don't forget where they go. It makes reassembly super easy. Sometimes working on other projects before the first project is finished, waiting on part orders and such.These are the perfect size. My only complaint is the thickness or lack of. They are almost as thin as notebook paper. I wish they were twice as thick making them more rigid.But for the price you really can't go wrong. Plus I got a thousand in the box, so they should last a while. They are expendable, just cut the string and discard when done. No need to try and reuse or save them. Overall, very happy with these tags, makes life a little easier. I will buy them again!

I used these for my leaded stained glass lamps. THe tag was big enough to add all information needed.

I'm a photographer and store my videos on thumb drives because of their extremely large file sizes, but thumb drives are too small to be able to attach lables too that indicate the names of the files that are on them. I now attach one of these tags to each thumb drive and list the files and other information on the tag. It's easy to attach the tag to most thumb drives because they have a keychain type of loop on them. The tags get attached here. If I should remove the files drom the thumb drive, it's easy to remove and replace the tag too. Much easier than trying to list the file names in tiny writing on a stick-on label. I also hang these tags from my studio lighting with large markings to indicate which group that the light is set to work from. With several people and several cameras in the studio, it's easier to read the tag while standing below the light and set the camera transmitter to work with that light group. We sometimes have 6-8 groups of lights, so without easy to read tags, setting the camera transmitters becomes much easier than climbing a ladder to look at each light and find the group setting.

Best value for your buck. Bigger size labels and you get 3 pkgs for the price of 2. You can't beat Avery labels for quality....
