Fun Movie.
While meant to be Kull, feel like an extension of Hercules. Still a fun movie.

You're going to hate it
If you have never seen this, let me sum it up. Bad wigs, bad acting, bad plot, bad directing. Why 5 stars? Because this movie is a campy, terrible, cult-classic for me and I adore laughing at it.

Science fiction.
Not my cup of tea, however an ok movie.

What you buy is what you get.
If you are getting this for just a movie with a cool slipcover, then it's a win for you. If you are wanting any special features, forget about it. Just only an English Subtitle on/off, and a movie trailer. The film is presented in the original 1.85:1 format and DTS HD 5.1 audio. The picture looks good for what it is without grain or noise.Just like I said if you want a movie, without all the other features then this is perfect for you.

For fans of Robert E Howard & Kevin Sorbo.
The movie is an adaptation of a great fantasy writer, Robert E. Howard. Mr. Sorbo is a fine actor and captured the spirit of the character while the plot was in true Howard tradition. Personally I think this is among his best roles. I purchased the movie for myself and gave away two cope

Kull the Conqueroo
I was a huge fan of Sword and Sorcery films (Conan, Red Sonya (yes, I know, not the greatest) She, (Sandahl Bergman-now there was a heroine), Xena, Herc and some of the Italian Sword and Sandal), and they don't make em like I liked em any more. I missed this epic when it was on Freeview a few weeks back, so I googled Amazon and found this NTSC version. Now it's no masterpiece, but what it is..is FUN. Kevin Sorbo makes a good Robert Howard hero, all bare muscular torso and (very) long hair, and he does have a pleasnt personality and can act. He is well partnered by the contrasting ladies (as they should be) - Tia Carrere (why was "Relic Hunter" not more popular?), who is sexy and so evil, and the, rather wooden except in a couple of scenes, Karin Lombard. Even our own Douglass Henshall and Edward "Ten Pole" Tudor have good parts. I thought the locations, Eastern Europe, were stunningly filmed, and the action well choreographed, if a bit overlong in places. SFX good for the budget (which I think was perhaps bigger than other reviewers seem to think). The widescreen excellent print all make this a fun film to be enjoyed, not analysed too much, just relax and go back to ancient times with the Conqueroo.
