I was hoping to find that a cast iron anvil suited my blacksmithing needs well enough. I was sorely disappointed!First off, this thing dents like you wouldn't believe. Granted I hit it a couple times with the hammer working on the edge of my piece, but the hot work was also denting the anvil. Just take a look at the picture. I used this thing twice for less than an hour each time.Second, you can't do any work on the edges. They are already completely chipped and rounded off from my two light uses (and no, I didn't hit those with the hammer).Third, this thing absorbs almost all of the force you are trying to put into your work. It's almost like trying to use a block of wood as an anvil.Fourth, the hardy hole is nowhere close to being square. Plus the softness of the cast iron causes your hardy tool to get stuck all the time.In summary, this is totally not worth the money. Buy a better one made of medium carbon steel.

came in all beat up, has all these bumps all over the hone, the flat part is all not straight! would like to send a pitcher but dont know how too.
