AQUACREST Filter

These filters are identical to the Berkey filters. So glad I found them. They are half the price and works just as well for our Big Berkey.

I used this in my big berkey. Perfect fit. Packaging got damaged in shipment but the filters were packaged properly so nthibgbwas damaged. Included two priming buttons, directions were a bit sparse but I’ve replaced my filters many times so I knew what to do. Basically, you have to force water into the black filter under pressure by using a “priming button” which is just a thick gasket with which to create a seal between the faucet and the screw part of the black filter, until air is forced out and water beads up and then flows through. I always like feeing how it heats up momentarily just before the water beads come to the surface of the filter. With the white filters, the same process is used but takes a little longer as you have to keep priming until the water runs clear. I usually shake the filter, prime agin, shake, prime a few times just to be sure all the loose particles have rinsed through. I did not like that there were no water flow direction arrows printed on the white filters, however only one end has the threading to screw into the black filter so it just took a moment to consider which way the water flows and prime accordingly. Can’t beat the price and my water tastes phenomenal again. I love my These filters make it super affordable to change more frequently which is nice because I have a heavy mineral load in my water supply.

I have a Alexapure and these filters fit. They have been working exellent. I would recommend this product, works as described.

If only these filters were well-made, I would be buying them again and again, but sadly, these filter are poorly made. Within the first few days, the fluoride filters fell off several times. Then the screw stems on the black filters broke off :((( I returned the two black Charcoal filters and the two white Fluoride filters; I received a full refund. Then I had to just ‘suck it up‘ and pay the big bucks for the superior well-made original Berkey filters.

The jury is out (for me) whether these are "better" filters than OEM. All I can say is that they look the same and were MUCH cheaper. Water flows through them much faster so chances are they are not filtering quite as good as the original Berkey filters.

Works well when installed. But caution .... one of the black carbon threads broke off when trying to screw into one of the white filters.

My son in law broke the filter on their Berkey during a move. They needed something quick and I needed something lighter on the budget because accidents never take your wallet into account! They received the filters quickly and are happy with the quality. I will definitely purchase again.
