Canon Lens Cap for E-58 II

I actually like these MUCH better than the side pinch/grab lens caps. These make so much more sense, ergonomically speaking that is. I bought this lens cap for my 50mm f1.4 and it's a perfect fit. I only wish canon would make these lens caps available with the security string attached so I can stop loosing these lens caps. This is a great replacement cap, I can't say that it is better than any of the generic caps that I already have and I'm not sure what inspired me to purchase this one instead but, I'm satisfied with my purchase. I am not sure what lens you will be using this cap for but it fits any lens with a 58mm thread. Perfect fit to replace the original one that disappeared. The pinch release is nice for use with a hood. This is my second replacement lens cap. You figure at some point I'll figure out a way to keep myself from losing them. It's starting to get pricey. At first I bought a cheap generic lens cap but it was so flimsy and poorly fitting that I was sure it was just going to fall off on its own. So back to Canon branded things for the Canon lens.

This lens cap is amazing! I have a canon rebel t6 camera and I was so worried that this cap would not fit my lens but it did and it fits so well just like my one that came with my lens. It's a perfect fit, this cap is worth the money and arrived a lot faster than expected. The lens cap is exactly like the original one that came with the lens in the second picture the cap on the right is the one that came with my other lens and you can not tell a difference. I will be ordering more of these lens caps they are the best!

As a photographer I lost the original lens cap and ordered this one. It works perfectly and is exactly like the original in every way. it did however take the seller 8 and half weeks to mail it to me, that has to be a record for lethargy.

I have no idea when or where I lost the lens cap for my 18-55mm lens (the one I use most often). But, just like I always do, I went to Amazon to look for one and there it was! It's perfect, and I actually like it better than my old one. It seems to stay on more securely than the original. I'll buy this one again (if I lose another, that is...).

The original canon lens caps prior to these center pinch caps are sufficient enough. I only got this because its easier to take the cap off with a certain lens hood still on. On the other hand since its a center pinch type of cap it tends to pivot more as you try to put it on the lens and therefore not always being able to seat it properly...it takes a little practice but just make sure its fully seated or it can possibly pop off.
