Much better than Waterpick!
I bought this because we went through 4 Waterpick brand flossers in a few years; they just break down, and it was time to find an alternative. This Pursonic had good reviews on a couple of dental sites. It is definitely quieter than the Waterpick brand and just seems more solidly built. You press the round grey dial inward to turn it on and off, then turn the dial to adjust the water flow; you do not have pre-set flow levels, you have total control. The size is more compact than the "family sized" units, but the water tank is very adequate for a single use. The hand set sits in a bracket on the outside; the way it hangs is a bit different, but it works. The machine pauses ever so briefly every 30 seconds, to let you monitor how long you use it. I have had this about 2 weeks and really like it. It is a bit more expensive than some, but since the cheaper ones break down after a year or so, it may be well worth it!

It's good, not excellent.
I have been using this for several months now, and It is OK, but not a 5-star. I used a Waterpik Water Flosser for years and when it died I replaced it with this. I liked the Waterpik better. Watch out for the button that discharges the cleaning head, it is in a bad spot and more than once I have been cleaning my teeth and suddenly got a face full of water! You also have to very picky about putting the reservoir back on after filling it. If the rubber gaskets are not exactly right you don't get any water. But it does a pretty good cleaning job.

Works Great!
We've been having issues with my 7 year old and flossing so we decided to try the water flosser. It is a bit messy while you're getting the hang of it but after the second use my 7 year old was able to do it by her self with minimal water mess. I will suggest a waterproof bib or a towel as your shirt will get wet.

Works well enough
Works well. I had a ToiletTree Hand Held one previously, which I liked, but the water capacity was not enough. I had to refill 2-3 times per session. This one has plenty of Water capacity, on full level 10 power the automatic shutoff timer lasts about as long as 6/8 the water which is generally well beyond plenty. My only complaints are I haven't figured out how (if possible) to disable the "pulse" of the water. It's not a big deal, but I don't use this thing as a massager. The other is that even at full power, it's barely as powerful, if a bit less, than the ToiletTree hand held. Lastly, the noise. This thing is significantly louder than the hand held as well, and doing this in the morning with everyone else asleep makes me feel like a jerk.

My husband and I hate flossing.
This makes a very unexpected difference! My husband and I hate flossing.. and we always have. We love our Sonicare tooth brush and it cleans our teeth really well, but my mouth has never felt so clean (besides going to the dentist) until we got this. Our breath isn't stinky when we wake up, and its nice to see all of the gunk getting flushed out while you clean. The set up of this is very convenient, and the pressure is so great we haven't had to put it above level 4. It's timed really well and it's nice to also have the tongue scraper attachment. Some of the best money we have ever spent :)

Great if you need more cleaning for gaps between teeth from braces or age...
Works well, I was advised I needed to purchase an item like this for dental issues, since flossing was not helping my gums like it should have. Saved my teeth!

best facial sprayer on the market
leaks all over the basin, splashes all over the person. Very poor as dental irrigation equipment, but not too bad as a facial spraying unit. Additionally the spray heads keep flying off during use, therefore everything gets sprayed, including the user, the counter top, the floor, but unfortunately not the teeth. There is certainly more satisfactory units on the market, but this is not one of them
